Does the Soul arrow glitch exist in BB? - Random_Overlord - 2010-08-11
For many many years bowmen/xbowmen have had to live with the soul arrow glitch which presented fake damage if you used ammo with w.att with soul arrow. Thus the damage you see with soul arrow and the att arrows would be client sided.
I was wondering was this was fixed in the BB patch?

Well, my Mechanic's damage range used to reflect having attack bullets in the damage range even though they don't use bullets, but that changed around the patch after Mechanic, so I'm assuming they no longer have the Soul Arrow glitch either. Also, sometimes, my damage range was blue, instead of black or red, no idea why.

Doesn't a Blue stat denote that it's been reduced? Ciders make my Accuracy blue and Rage makes my Defense blue.

That's what I thought too, but I didn't have anything that would've reduced my attack. Maybe I just had trouble differentiating between blue and black.
Edit: Nevermind, still there, for Wild Hunters on Tespia, at least.

It appears they tried to fix the fact that mechs don't get any damage from bullets by adding an (IF bullet atk is present and added, subtract the bullet attack). Seems abit inefficient; could have made a statement that all bullets on a mech add 0 atk.

Last I heard, the extra attack from arrows only showed up client sided, and on the server's side, what everyone else saw, you would be doing the same damage as you would without the arrows.

Why doesn't everyone just use normal arrows lol, your using SA all the time anyway...
xP, this isn't really something i forsee nexon fixing, as its not that big a deal, and they oviously need to make new classes on a monthly bases instead of more bosses/high level training areas
Also, because its client sided, could they actually fix it?

Attack arrows are a relic from before 2nd job existed. Just use Soul Arrow.

I remember this. Someone on Basil discovered that attack arrows "worked" with Soul Arrow. I think I undiscovered it after finding that I was unable to OHKO Drum bunnies even when hitting over their max HP. O.o

They'd be more usable if;
a) Strafe/Hurricane didn't burn through them at ridiculous speeds. Perhaps 1 arrow per strafe and 1 arrow per 1 second (8 shots) of hurricane?

Yeah me and my friend took screenshots of a strafe w/ Diamond Arrows but without Soul Arrow and vice versa and we had the same damage. Figured they fixed it.

Not fair when you see NL's use shadow claw and then keep their original damage without having their ammo damage being client sided.
