So... Is the community good? - Derosis - 2010-08-05 I'm going to join a friend of mine in DFO, I was wondering is the community is good, or I'll just be sticking with the SP and the Korean Community (He's Korean so yeh...). So... Is the community good? - Dusk - 2010-08-05 There isn't too much socializing in DFO (at least in-game). The chat system sucks complete kiwis and you get spammed to death all the time. You do get a chance to actually talk to people in PvP, but you be the judge of the community there. I can't say it's really great or terrible. You meet your share of good players and you meet your share of noobs that complain about how cheap your class is. So... Is the community good? - mrcowcow - 2010-08-05 Well if you're part of a guild, then you can just talk in guild chat, effectively blocking out the spam from general chat. And Team Rocket is full of pros. GUARANTEED 100%. We even have Slowpoke Tails, if you want to buy some. So... Is the community good? - Dual - 2010-08-06 Like Dusk said, you get your share of pros and you get your share of noobs. A majority of speaking in towns is spammed, and a majority of speaking in dungeons consists of people telling you warnings, telling you to hurry up, or telling you how fucking awesome your class is. Other than that, people are usually quiet. PvP is a little bit more talkative, but a lot of that is people QQing, and most pros barely even talk. So... Is the community good? - Holypie - 2010-08-06 Join Team Rocket, never have to deal with randumbs again. So... You meet your share of good players and you meet your share of noobs that complain about how cheap your class is. You haven't played in quite some time, and you didn't even play much. Guilds changed all of that. Guild has its own chat, and it's all you need. My fellow Rockets are the only people I ever play with and talk to. And DFO has an amazing chat system. All it "lacks" is a buddy chat, which is a godsend to me. You can literally control and filter everything that appears in every tab of chat, except Super Megaphones (obviously, because Nexon). You don't have to get spammed ever. It's a vastly superior chat system to that of, say, Maplestory (which is one of the worst ever). I don't know about the general community but I'll say it sucks. Because online games always have terrible communities. Team Rocket is good. If you party or PVP with anyone else, expect idiocy. Always. |
