A question about Leprechauns' magic attack - magicleric - 2008-08-28
According to data in the client,
when they're fixed to have MP, will they:
- be auto aggroed
- attack while in meso bag form
- attack as soon as turned into purple (2nd) form?
I'm asking because I currently 1hko both forms, so when theyre fixed, would spamming SR stop them from attacking (making farming easier)?

I don't think they're auto-aggro. And their range isn't much either, you pretty much have to be standing right next to them for the Leprechaun to attack you.

Well they are auto-turrets like newties, so if they are auto-aggro which is incredibly likely, then there is no possible way to 100% avoid their attacks. No matter how fast you are, they will lock onto you the moment they begin to spawn.

According to what Fiel posted when the patch first arrived, neither form has the auto-aggro variable set to 1.
Somewhat off-topic: Those two leprechaun animations Tamekii posted seem to be hosted here on South Perry. Is there a list of ones that Fiel has uploaded?

Did you do anything specific to get them to stun you? Cause I havent been able to get them to stun me/seen them stun others.
Just curious, but was this implemented in the SC along with downgraded eggs and bigfoot?

I accidentally MB'd the meso bag form and it turned into the leprechaun. I figured since they don't have their high damage attack yet it can't possibly hurt to just continue using it as a dodging method in that form. I was so concentrated on fighting HH that I never saw any sort of an animation, I was just suddenly stunned. The only monsters in the map were the 3 leprechauns, and HH, and this happened on the farthest to the left, so neither of the other 2 leprechauns were even on screen. We all know HH doesn't stun so it had to have been the leprechaun.

It didn't get me killed or anything, it was just really scary suddenly being at his mercy with no apparent explanation (Though it only took about a second to realize what had happened.)

The leprechaun on the bottom left of Forgotten Path stunned me twice and I never noticed the animation for it, although I was fighting several Elder Wraith at the time. I've also seen the leprechaun at the top of Forgotten Path do the stun animation but it oddly didn't stun me.
... and I still have no idea how to provoke it.
