Crit from Potential Question - LittlePrincess - 2010-07-30 I got a 4% critical rate on my wand and I noticed that the damage from that critical rate seems really high. I normally hit 90k to 120k with genesis at skelle's with most hits falling between 98k and 105k (I have about 1400 magic if anyone reading this knows great formulas to use). The 4% critical rate on the wand caused all criticals to hit 199,999 every time :f6: (or at least that's the number it showed, naturally as skelles die in one hit anyway i couldn't tell if it showed a fake number). I was not wearing any other critical item (like the rings or SE) and I trained at skelle's for 4 hours which should be a sufficient sample to get less than max damage on a critical hit, but it never did. Does anyone know what kind of damage that is adding to my atk? Because I thought it would probably be about 50% which would make about 150k most the time, but it seems to add a lot more. (For those of you that think that 4% is not that often you must remember that genesis hits up to 15 at once so seeing approximately one crit per cast is not highly unusual, and in fact I would say that approximately 80% of my genesis had at least one critical hit while about 10% had more than one.) Crit from Potential Question - ArbalistMaster - 2010-07-30 someone tested it out a few days ago. apparently, magicians get double damage on potential crit. The question is, can you stack that with crit ring and SE to become broken enough that it would make a difference. here's the thread: http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=29550 |
