-Toenail clippers
-Pajamas
-My Calc BC cheat sheets that I made last year. They'd be saving me a lot of grief right now, even though I'm retaking Calc 2.
-Milk crates. They're good for everything. Storage, furniture, shelving, or just carrying your junk to your room.
-A really good, reusable water bottle.
-Extra shoelaces. If you're like my room mate at least. He got really pissed that he didn't bring shoelaces, broke one of them 2 days ago, and I offered the ones from my tennis shoes I never use. So of course, he must've broken the laces from the other shoe, since I noticed both my tennis shoes no longer have laces this morning. Ass didn't even ask for the 2nd ones.

Best suggestion so far is milk crates. Almost everyone in Residence would use 4 to prop up their bed, thereby nearly doubling the amount of storage room for random crap because of all the empty space under the bed.

Something quite important in my opinion: a will to be there.
Some people these days gets spoon fed straight out of high school and get "easy" financial lives through college. Some people don't want to keep schooling but are only there because of parents or "all the cool kids are doing it". If you feel obligated, you can take a break and work then come back to school.
Also, get a job, even if you don't need money. It's to get experience in the work force; taking a step out of baby life and into the real world. Learn to social, etc.
