DLing Patch, and MapleStory.exe cannot be created - WillDaSnail - 2010-07-21
So....
I was auto-patching MS to v 0.88 and at the very end, where the file Maplestory.exe was supposed to be created (last step before patch is done), it says there's an error in creating a new MapleStory.exe file.
Any solutions to this problem?

*sigh* Same thing happened to me. I have no advice, I don't know what to do.
I use Vista 32 bit labtop, and for me, I cannot get gamelauncher to work, so I always have to log in from website. Any help?

Sucessfully downloaded the file on the first link; however, when I tried to execute it, an error popped up saying it was missing a .dll file

Tried using the downloaded file - it froze on "Applying: Canvas.dll" instead of "Applying: Maplestory.exe".
My computer is mean to me. Can someone throw v88's Canvas.dll up for download?

Have any of you tried prepatching? My maplestory doesn't work at all, but it's not exclusive to this recent patch.

99% sure you guys have the MapleStory.exe process running already. Sometimes it'll keep running even though you've closed it. Go to Task Manager and close it. You could also try running as an Administrator. That error happens because of a lack of permissions.

Closed the running process. A new problem arises!
Freezes on Base.wz.
EDIT: Took a base.wz file from a v87 backup and replaced the now borked one, worked fine. Patching now..

Problem solved; I just got the pre-patcher and DL'd patch files, then had to run the patcher in administrator mode. >_>
