I'm curious, is the Police GM banning auto or GM based?

I just created a new dual blade, didn't accept the level 30 offer, and started at level 1. I completed the quests, and realized I don't want to level past 20 because the quests were leveling me up quickly. So I kept killing myself to lose experience. Next thing I know, I'm about to advance to Dual Blade at level 20, and a message pops up saying I was banned for the hack reason....

I've never hacked before, so I don't know if it was autoban that triggered it or not, as I don't believe a GM would ban me after seeing me not hack.

It was supposed to be only because of creating a lv 30 dual blade, but I guess It happens this way too huh?

GM Police is an automated system.

Maybe DBs have different Defense values or something. If they didn't update their files properly, the server would have seen you as taking abnormal damage, and AB'd after all those hits you took to die.

it sounds like it was an auto ban that was triggered, for whatever reason. (prolly has something to do with dying many consecutive times, since thats the only thing that doesn't normally make sense to do within maplestory)

Bubblings were displaying 18 damage to me, when they were really doing more than that. But I figured it was a glitch on the patch, and not me. Damn.

So the damage formula based on client and server side is bugged.

I was also banned on my dual blade. I started at lvl 30 and was banned after about 10 minutes. The pop up came about 1-2minutes after i last took damage or attacked.

Yeah my friend made a level 30 DB and he got AB'ed for a month.

Maybe Pink Bean is taking pre-emptive measures against the threat of the potential system?

By some chance did you happen to accept the ring quest at lvl 10? I hear it's not supposed to work with DBs so maybe once you hit lvl 20 that triggered it.
