Two problems with Maple (Window mode & DC at bosses.) - thots - 2010-07-20 Problem 1: So recently I've upgrade my computer to Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate Edition, and I've gone and updated ALL of my drivers. I have a 9800GTX+ with a nForce 680i SLI motherboard. The problem is this. I run at 1920x1200 resolution @ 59Hz. Supposedly you cannot Window mode in Maplestory with a less than 60Hz refresh rate. I've tried changing my refresh rate through the nVidia control panel several times, from 59Hz to 60Hz @ 1920x1200, but to no avail. I know the problem MUST lie in the refresh rate, because if I change my screen to a low enough resolution that works at 60Hz, I can go into Windowed mode just fine. Anyone have a fix to forcing my refresh rate to 60Hz? Problem 2: Well, with this update to Windows 7, I haven't been able to boss for sht. Not at all. I can bigfoot just fine. I can train, merch, and be all the henehoe I want just fine. But when it comes to entering larger boss fights, i.e. CWKPQ, Zakum, HT, and without fail, I disconnect. This has happened since my upgrade to Windows 7 and I'm working if I've missed something. I've tried using Maplestory in Windows XP Mode that came with my Windows 7, but alas, I get a hackshield error when trying to launch it that way. Is there any way I can avoid having to install Windows XP on a completely different partition? I don't much like the idea of having to dual-boot into a Windows XP install just for Maplestory. Any help with either of these issues would be awesome . If any further information is needed about my system, I'll be glad to answer. Some additional stats: 1TB HD 4GB DDR2 RAM 9800GTX+ nForce 680i SLI Motherboard All drivers are updated, BIOS is completely updated Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate Edition That should be all you really need.
