Dual Blade and SP saving / Job Advance - Devil - 2010-07-15
I was just wondering about DB builds without using any skill books (before 4th job offcourse).
Since DB's can save SP's from (Correct me if this isn't working anymore!!):
- 1st Job to 2nd Job (lvl 11~29)
- 2nd+ Job to 3rd Job (lvl 30~69)
- 3rd Job+ (lvl70~119)
What would happen if you want to job advance to 3rd+ Job (lvl70~120), and you didn't use a skillbook to max Slash Storm (2nd+ Job), and only have lvl 10 Slash Storm (instead of lvl20), and you want to save 10 SP's to max Slash Storm later?
Does Maple let you advance to 3rd Job+ (lvl70~120) at all? I know you can't use SP's from 3rd to 3rd+, but do you HAVE to spend them on crappy skills, just to be -allowed- to advance to 3rd Job+ (like with adventurers, you can't advance with left-over SP's)?
Or can you just let them be "left-over-SP's forever" (in the 2nd+ Job and 3rd Job Tabs) and continue with 0 SP's in the 3rd Job+ Tab at lvl 70?
Same goes for Flying Assaulter / Tornado Spin / Bloody Storm / Mirror Image towards 4th Job...
Anyone who knows / experienced this (in kMST)?

I can't remember anything about my DB in kMS, it's been like 6 months.

If you dump-save 15 SP's till lvl69 (for later use), without ever using the Slash Storm mastery book, can you adcance to 3rd+ Job (lvl70) with having 15 left-over SP's in the 2nd+/3rd Job tabs?
Or does Maple say "You cannot advance to 3rd+ Job (lvl70~119), since you haven't used all SP's yet"?

Like I said, it's been a while so I'm not sure, but I think it will let you advance with however much SP you want. It just tells you "You must spend SP on lower jobs first" when you try to add into higher jobs.

- Put all their SP's into crappy skills (since they can't max their core skills) before they can start putting SP's into lvl70+ skills, just to pay $100,- on SP-reset scrolls to max those Cash-Shop-Core-Skills later on, when there are enough mastery books in the FM (that is... IF there will EVER be... lol).

- Buy Cash Shop books and "complete" 2nd/2nd+/3rd Jobs -BEFORE- they can put SP's into lvl70+ skills...

The way it is currently is that you can save 1st -> 2nd -> 2nd+ and 3rd -> 3rd+, they changed it like almost a week into the official kMS release and had to give out free SP resets to those affected.

If you can't spend the SP's before 4th job, I would say, its bye bye 4th job for ppl who don't pay NX... Unless Nexon did something new here... :o

Ok, me as a dual blade, I got sp reset'd three times by nexon -_-
So, now, when you get sp reset, you must start putting points from 1st to 4th job. So it goes like this. At first, you must have 61 points bewteen 1st and 2nd applied in order to apply 2nd+ points. Then, you must have applied 75 points into 1st, 2nd and 2nd+ in order to be able to put points into 3rd. Then I'm not sure about 3rd->3rd+, cause my skill points were messed up (I had like 40+ 3rd+ job sp at lvl 70), but I think you can save some from 3rd to 3rd+. And I don't know still about 3rd+ to 4th job cause I'm still 106.
To sum up, I'm sure you can't save points from 2nd to 2nd+ and from 2nd+ to 3rd. Not sure about others, but probably not aswell.
