Changing my Desktop Around - Hazzy - 2010-07-13 I have two monitors hooked up to the same computer. The one on the left is larger and better, so I use it when I'm doing something. Full screen games, browsing the internet, anything that demands my undivided attention. The right-hand screen is where I have all my desktop icons, IM chat windows, DL window, and other stuff that I want to keep an eye on, but don't need to focus entirely on. However, when I DL something to my desktop, it goes to the top left most corner: behind my FF window. This is annoying, and I want it to go to the top right corner of my right hand monitor. I know I can make this happen by making my right monitor my "main display", but that also makes full screen programs open on it, which is a nono. How can I make all new files put on my Desktop go only to the right-hand monitor, without changing my "main display"? I am running x64 Win7. Changing my Desktop Around - thinbear - 2010-07-13 for windows there are no build-in function for you to arrange the icon from right to left. Other programs may help I haven't tried this but you may search a bit about DIManagerX (Desktop Icon Manager X) Changing my Desktop Around - ShadyPriest - 2010-07-13 Completely fill up your desktop on your left monitor. Dunno. Changing my Desktop Around - Hazzy - 2010-07-14 thinbear Wrote:for windows there are no build-in function for you to arrange the icon from right to left. Other programs may help I like it going left to right, but I want it to start in the top left of my right-hand monitor. I don't want anything on my left-hand desktop. Ever. Unless I specifically drag it there. |
