Bowmasters will be in the top rung of the Damage Charts when the Overhaul is finished with. Biggrin

Reason being, the damage formula is changed to be 15% better than before.
Bow expert adds 30 weapon attack.
Since Bowmen start with 15% mastery, Bow-mastery and Bow Expert add 60% to it becoming 75%. Not a big difference to now in GMS.
Hurricane is 200%
Sharp eyes is seemingly better since they've redone the critical calcs.
Vengance also activates (theoreticaly) when a mob gets close to you and does an extra 200% damage, this is perfect at stationary bosses like zakum, because you can do 400% damage with hurricane at a cirtain rate.
No minimum range.

With the item rating system as well, you could easily get a 20k max range in damage as well.

Theres also a Hp upgrade of 30% so i've heard.

WHY NEXON DID YOU MAKE US SO BLOODY SEXY?!!?!?? Heart

If i'm right.... - Worthyness - 2010-06-30

because they made everyone else sexier too.

Snipe being 500k every 4 seconds is enough to make them one of the top tier, to be honest.

GMS is 90% Mastery. After calculations, your minimum range becomes around 81% of your maximum. Last I checked, 81% is greater than 75%.

And the old Hurricane averaged 232%. The new Hurricane averages 230%.

If by better, you mean 4.6x weaker, yes, they have.

have you played a bowmaster yet in kmst? =/

If you haven't you shouldn't make assumptions like that until theres actual video/photographic proof that they are in fact weaker.

A difference of 6% in mastery doesn't make that much difference with hurricane. The damage formulas have all changed, maybe it's better than what you make it out to be? =/

Math doesn't lie.

So does the fact that the Math that we use for GMS doesn't count no more for KMST. Rolleyes

New calculations and stuff were added.

GMS: 100% Critical + 140% Sharp Eyes @ 55% Rate = +132% average damage
KMST: 50% Critical @ 60% Rate = +30% average damage

Gee whiz. I think I may be on to something here.

Why do I bother.... Tongue

Maybe when someone gets off the hero bandwaggon and makes a bowmaster in kmst, then make a video of anything. Maybe I'll be convinced that nexon screwed BM's over. Mad

Because that is what it's gonna take.

1. You lose 15% mastery bub
2. You're basing your guesses on what you THINK is going to happen without anything to back it up
3. Through hard-ass work Joe-Tang and many many others did their best to crack the kMST formulas, which they mostly have so they DO have some kMST formulas to work with
4. They are using what they already know about the kMST formulas to figure out what's going to be roughly the predicted scenario for each class
5. You are assuming IF you're right. Joe and the rest who had lengthy discussions in the extraction threads have done enough work to make THEIR guesses more likely to be right than yours can ever be
6. We have no kMST videos of Bowmasters yet to prove your claim, which again cycles back to using what we currently know about kMST is a far better way to predict a class than to do a wild ass guess.
7. You aren't playing kMST so you have zero evidence to back up your claim
8. Joe just used simple math to prove how much weaker a damage boost criticals are going to be for BMs and you refuse to listen to it? Use some common sense here. 132% > 30%.

Sorry mate, but given your lack of posts/being a newcomer on this forum in combination with your sheer guesses I would recommend leaving it to the math experts to predict the well-being of Bowmasters until actual videos come out. Just sit tight.

Good point I guess, but it could go either way. It seems the critical formula as a whole got turned to horse crap. Tongue

I just hope they've got something planned over there in case it turns out to be worse that expected.

That's the whole point of testing.

We've got weeks of testing left. Given the fact the last update was ~5-6 days ago perhaps kMS is slowing down on doing wild buffs/nerfs in exchange for taking the time to seriously look at the numbers. Major changes are probably all but done, so now all that's left is loads of tweaking with a couple major changes here and there but not at the level as it was before.
