New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Hazzy - 2008-08-23 http://communities.canada.com/shareit/forums/thread/51518.aspx Who says Teens don't listen?
New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Tremulant - 2008-08-23 I was wearing headphones when I played it. My ears just melted. This one kid in my computer tech class always did that with his phone and it pissed off everyone in class. I guess that's why the teacher never did anything about it, he couldn't hear it? New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Hazzy - 2008-08-23 Ohsnap, forgot about tech class. xD Now I want to abuse it. :[ New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Dyxanije - 2008-08-23 I know a few people who have that ring tone, only one teacher out of the six or so teachers we tried it on heard it. So there are some adults that can heard it but I asked the teacher who heard it and she said it was really faint when we set the volume really loud :<. New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Corn - 2008-08-23 This is the mosquito ring tone? (didn't listen, just guessing) New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Hazzy - 2008-08-23 ClawofBeta Wrote:This is the mosquito ring tone? (didn't listen, just guessing) I think so. Heard that term on my google searches. :x New Cell Phone Ring Tone - WiseAlon32 - 2008-08-24 i remember during the year that people always played something like that to annoy everyone and the teacher heard it too.. so it might not be it, but maybe it was, only that it doesnt work. New Cell Phone Ring Tone - IcyGreenTea - 2008-08-24 I can hear it slightly, it hurts my ear though... My bf can hear it perfectly, and he's older than me. I guess it just depends on the person... New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Beloved - 2008-08-25 It's not simply that "the adults can't hear it". It's more that as you age, you're exposed to many more ear-damaging noises (ex. band concerts, loud mp3 players :3 -- you know you're guilty) and eventually you become less sensitive to stuff like this ringtone. lol So if you treat your ears well, you'll still be able to hear this stuff some few years down the road. The first time I'd heard of this was like 4 years ago. I remember that day a classmate brought his cellphone in with this rintone and it kept ringing in 15 minute intervals or something. Pissed everyone [not amused by this ingenious invention] off. Then, some days later, we had an assembly about safety, bullying, inappropriate "street art" and all that other disciplinary crap. But when the principal started to talk about cellphone usage during class hours -- my god that was hilarious. 5 minutes into his incredibly boring speech, everyone heard a really loud wail of the mosquito ringtone. People in the auditorium who heard it was more amused than annoyed by it -- but that's not the best part. The best part was when the principal went up to him and asked his cellphone to be handed over...cuz apparently the old fart could hear it. :3 Owned. lol New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Sign - 2008-08-25 Haha ^ I think that tone is around 15000 Hz (correct me if I'm wrong?). When you are born, most people can hear around 20,000 Hz. You can be born with higher or lower than this. And THEN you lose the higher frequencies with age and unavoidable sound damage. But this is all normal! (Unless you listen to a jet plane for 2 hours every day.......that's not normal.) If you can't hear the tone now, you probably will never hear it again, but it's honestly not worth worrying about - everyone else will eventually never hear it again as well (no one can escape age). It's also not an important sound to hear... Remember human speech sounds are around 1000-3000 Hz (I think?), so if all you can't hear is above a 15kHz tone, you've still got a LONG way to go before you start getting into trouble. I'd start looking after my ears more though. New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Manda - 2008-08-26 That felt so weird to hear... nice to know my hearing's in good shape.
New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Nelon - 2008-08-26 I turned it up thinking I wouldn't be able to hear it... =_= I don't think my sister'd be able to hear it, listening to her Japanese songs all day long... New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Katie - 2008-08-26 pineapple that hurt my ears. New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Rain - 2008-08-26 This is old news. this has been around for years~ But yea i love it ;3 New Cell Phone Ring Tone - IcyGreenTea - 2008-08-28 Beloved Wrote:The first time I'd heard of this was like 4 years ago. XD The weird thing is, I can only hear that ringtone faintly...even though I normally have pretty good hearing, and I hear some of the bugs that makes really high pitch noises outside in summer, it's annoying because they would attach themselves to the outside wall of my room and keep me up all night while my parents slept through fine. That bothers me. New Cell Phone Ring Tone - butterfλi - 2008-08-29 Someone in one of my classes once had a ring tone that sounded like whistling. When it went off, the entire class wondered who was whistling and the teacher told them to stop lol. New Cell Phone Ring Tone - Raven - 2008-08-31 Sort of a dumb idea, and old old old. And it's not completely tied to age... either. Risk much? |
