I've been thinking about this for a little while now, but with all the revamps to the classes including bishops, do you think there will be a "new era" of bishop? I mean, I've been looking around a lot at other forums and have been reading players totally and completely flip out about the genesis cool down. It's like the end of the world to them. I'm thinking that these bishops, the ones who just wanted to spam, leech, ks, and just create a bishop for the purpose of using genesis, which is not what bishops were created to do, will quit. Permanently. I think the bishops left, who actually appreciate what Nexon Korea is doing will stay. Maybe these bishops will be less greedy and less mean spirited than those who left. Maybe prices will go down because there will be less bishops. I really don't know. I just want to know what you guys think about this.

I am happy to see the changes. They make me want to make a mage, when the time comes around.

I believe that the fact they buffed up Holy Arrow(as useless as it is), Shining Ray, Bahamut, etc, will make up for their Genesis "nerf". I've always disliked the fact that Magicians do (almost) nothing but repeat their ultimates to level up; so boring. At least now they'll have a little more variety, much like Evans.

Priests even get criticals. Holy Arrow(370%Wink and Shining Ray(370%) can actually kill things. Angel Ray(620%) and Bahamut(500%) does actual decent damage.

I like this version of mage so far :3

This. Reason why I like training on my Evan more than my FP is because their fastest training is more active.

All of the new changes for mages in genral made a lot more sense to me anyway. Like teleporting causing stun 'cause monster lose track of you, and the ultimates having a cool down because its a magic heavy attack. It just seems more mage-like to me. True, it will change training patterns, but I don't think ultimates were meant to be your main attacking skill, and thats exactly why I believe they added a cool down. :T

At first when I heard about the cooldown on Genesis I was pissed, but then I found out that it's not just Bishops that get the cooldown, it's all Mages. As long as Bishops aren't the only one who suffer from this change, I don't mind. I only play my bishop as a support character now since I'm level 200 and it's kind of nice that this will stop monster leech. At first when I read some of the changes to the adventurers and the maple world itself I could hardly believe what I was seeing, but some of these changes might actually give the game back some of it's old charm rather than it all being about damage, level and leeching.

I still think some of the changes are ridiculous, though. One million damage cap is way too much, if you deal that much dmg I don't see the fun in the game, even if the monsters HP are changed. This also kind of screws over players that spend a ton of time, effort and money on their current equips, but oh well.

I'm about to hit 120 on my first character I made in Maple ~5yrs ago. Turns out this character is a Priest. I chose the character way before 4th job was even on the horizon. I chose the class cause I was interested in the support/healing aspect yet still able to hold its own as a solo with undeads, not because they got the end all attack in 4th job. I'm confused as far as the new changes, though also intrigued that I may just get that solo possibility without sacrificing all the work I've put in, and without becoming the "Nuker". But as I'm stil a stone's throw away, I'm gonna be sad that i wasn't able to enjoy the benefit of my nuking abilities for as long as a ton of others have...
