I lol'd - Fiel - 2010-06-11 http://money.cnn.com/2010/06/10/technology/att_ipad_fbi/index.htm "A hacker group called Goatse Security exploited a vulnerability on AT&T's website to harvest the e-mail addresses that iPad 3G buyers provided to activate their devices. The group sent the information to tech and gossip blog Gawker, which reported that 114,000 e-mail addresses were exposed." I lol'd - Takebacker - 2010-06-11 Bad news for my dad... I lol'd - Corn - 2010-06-11 ...hurray for T-mobile for being such a cheap and lousy company that hackers look over it. I lol'd - Shidoshi - 2010-06-11 glass ass > goatse anyway funny thing though I lol'd - ranmalover - 2010-06-11 I have read several articles on this and it appears the hackers notified ATT first and then leaked the info after a fix was done. What bothers me in this is that the FBI is investigating this matter. These people did a great service to the world by exposing this as many companies have horrible security that can put us all in danger. I just hope they dont get legal charges. |
