Yes, they do. When I was taking Japanese in school, there were tons of crossword puzzels my teacher made us do. That and word searches.

I might be able to pull up some pictures later, but I'll have to wait for my dad and his girlfriend to go to bed before I start snooping around for my old books (they get suspicious when I do anything).

"Japanese crossword" brings up nonograms in Wikipedia. And I love those.
I just wish these guys would make all of their puzzles available without a catch.
