Windows MSN virus - Solarboy - 2010-05-18
So here is the problem my stupid little sister out one of those spam virus on my temporal comp, Because of the virus (I think) I cant run any kin of malware detector or cleaner for msn.
Is there any other solution or Will I nee to restore the system to an older state?
any help is appreciated
pd: I cant use the 1678 Messenger edition either.

Okay, forget the MSN part of this issue. A version of MSN not running is the least of your worries.
You got a virus, CONGRATULATIONS!
Sarcasm aside,
first try a system restore to.... lets say 2 weeks ago.
If that fails then we can try other methods like:
-Running "Hijack This" and sending a copy of the log file to someone on the forum. (I can analyze it myself, or someone else can)
-Rebooting in Safe Mode and attempting to single out the issue there.
-Attempting to check for suspicious files that are set to run on startup
-Try downloading Malware Bytes
If all of these fail then we will take a different stance to this virus when the time comes. But One if not ALL of these should help.
