Power leveling services, legit or legit? - Muse - 2008-08-20 From Nexon Terms of Service 2.2 Code of Conduct Wrote:Exploit the Software, Cash Items or the Service for any commercial purpose, including the provision of "power leveling" services; This obviously states that using power leveling services is against the ToS of Nexon. Also from Nexon Terms of Service 2.2 Code of Conduct Wrote:Restrict or inhibit any other individual from using the Service, a Cash Item (as defined below) or the Software, including, without limitation, by means of "hacking" or defacing any portion of the Service or Software; That must mean using power leveling services is as bad as hacking. BIG ILLEGITS Ohwait.. Also from Nexon Terms of Service 2.2 Code of Conduct Wrote:Engage in rude, unlawful, harassing, vulgar, obscene, hateful, threatening, abusive or otherwise objectionable behavior, including, without limitation, looting, kill stealing, making sexual comments and/or cursing; Does that mean anyone who loots someone else, killsteals, makes a sexual comment or swears is illegit too? Anyway, I'm just curious on your views of using power leveling services. Do you think it is legit or illegit and why? I'm wanting to know what you think about because there are quite afew level 200 players that used these services so are they included as legits? If you want proof of these ToS, go to the Nexon site and look at the bottom of the page. edit: By power leveling services, i'm talking about someone going on your account and training you while you do whatever. Not you afking on a rope like most do at Newts and leech exp. Power leveling services, legit or legit? - Thunda - 2008-08-20 Powerleveling is very similar to account buying and I would treat it as such. Power leveling services, legit or legit? - Thunda - 2008-08-20 Illegit = those who hack or have benefitted directly from hacks Legit = those who haven't If the character has never hacked or benefitted from hacks, it is legit no matter who leveled it. Power leveling services, legit or legit? - belovedblood - 2008-08-20 I feel powerlevlng is illegit. Especially if your not the one who put that hard work into the character. Power leveling services, legit or legit? - Cybuster - 2008-08-20 Firstly, its not illegit, its illegitimate. Secondly, yes, it is wrong, but with this game being such a grindfest, who can blame you? Just because you get bored while playing the game doesn't automatically excuse you from the rules. Power leveling services, legit or legit? - Cybuster - 2008-08-20 If you find having to do the same thing over and over and over etc for 50 hours straight just to get one stupid level up well, then, I don't mean to be rude, but you've got something wrong with you. Games are supposed to be fun, not work. Power leveling services, legit or legit? - Avenge - 2008-08-20 silverbg2 > philzor LOL!! Power leveling services, legit or legit? - Acim - 2008-08-20 The people who buy powerleveling services work to get their money, and spend it on levels. It's still work. (Just a different view, I really view it as illegitimate). Yes, games are supposed to be about fun, but what fun will you be doing if it's not yourself finding the fun ways to level? 50 hours, while an exaggeration still makes a general joke about leveling in maplestory, while training yourself is boring, it tends to be best if you try to play with others. Maple was made as a chat program in mind, with its gameplay being one of the reasons why you play with friends. Holypie Wrote:what if you find massive piles of loot from the hacker(hacking at something small, like the tree that grew) and you pick it up? is that make me illegit? As for this, if your going out of your way to track hack users just to loot them, its an intended action to benefit from their actions. If its something that you come across, I'm quite sure they've got bigger fish to fry, rather then a newb finding a crapload of mesos. Illegits and legits differ from place to place. Most people will say that you're still legit if you swear. Most people will say you're illegit if you hack or benefit from it. Or glitch, as well. Hell, I haven't used a 2x card since they were doing the initial trials. Point is, we should all be sticking to the rules, even if they tend to give us issues. But anyways, for the bad areas, ya gotta peach and complain, look at how long it takes for the level 100+ guys to get a new area. You can't sit apathetically whining at your friends in game, you make comments, aim to participate in the community to show bit just a want for the content. I'm more then cool with friends doing their leach thing, but again, ya gotta follow the rules. How many times have I spotted a "friend" afk with what would seem to be something heavy over the hs key, that's botting at its basics. Whats with some players willing to be social pushovers still trying to aim for the top. Its like, OMG, if I R >120 failure is me. On most classes, you can see most of the game by 100 maybe 80 if you want to. Um, wrong? If I want a chat service, I'll use MSN or any other number of instant messenger programs. If Maple was a messenger type program, as you seem to think it is, why is there so much focus on leveling? Why does everyone have to be the highest leveled person in their server? Why do people fork out hundreds if not thousands of dollars on crap, just to make a few pixels look the same as everyone elses? Maple Story is NOT a chat program. Uhh..There are tons of games that are chat oriented that people spend real money on. Take IMVU or Gaia for example. I'm not saying I agree that maple is a chat type game, but that is one of it's biggest advertising points. To be with friends.
