Biggest Battle of the Pirates... ever. - Berzerk - 2010-05-12 The production company behind The Hurt Locker is getting ready to sue people. Not just some people, tens of thousands of people. They've been riding ISP's asses to get the names of people that downloaded the film via Bittorrent, and the lawsuit is expected to hit as early as tomorrow. This is going to escalate the whole P2P world, and drag on forever, over some money. Hopefully none of this actually hits any SP members on the head, it would really. People have always pirated, my dad does it the undetectable way of waiting for the DVD to be released to the library, renting it, and burning it. Its hilarious how large our pirated DVD collection is. I haven't actually downloaded too many movies over the internet because of this, so I guess I'm safe. I have to agree with whoever wrote the article, that money could be way better spent in something else, heck, even not using it would be sooo much better. |
