I'm scared. - Jedward - 2010-05-08 When I came home on Friday morning, my laptop went into a startup restore kind of thing, completely different from chkdsk. When it finally finished, I had regular access to the laptop, except for my Internet browsers (see pic below).
Google Chrome after I booted on Friday afternoon
Now that seems like something unnatural, right? Wrong. Today when I booted my computer, it simply froze. Rebooting several times on Safe Mode finally brought out chkdsk and I went through that successfully. However, when I finally got to my desktop, I got windows about iTunes malfunctioning (even though it works perfectly fine) and that Norton Internet Security expired. Keep in mind that I had NIS renewed only a couple of months ago. It really did expire, and I'm pineappleing nervous. Not to mention that all my system restore points were deleted.
Speculation
What should I do? My dad's not going to pay to have it fixed because he's cheap like that. I don't know.. EDIT: Successfully booted in Safe Mode. Weirdly enough, Norton Internet Security is still functioning and is scanning now. O_o |
