How can I delete this folder? - Cancambo - 2010-04-30

So, back when I last reformatted my computer I decided it was a good idea to have a backup just in case. It was good cause after the restore I was able to recover some of my pictures and whatnot. But now, I have exhausted all I want from the folder, but I can't delete it. The remainder of the contents take up around 4gb of memory, and I really want that memory because I only have a 80gb HD. If you have any ideas on how I can get rid of it, aside from a reformat, that'd be great.

First try using shift+delete key to delete it. That will try to actually delete it and not just move it to the recycle bin. If that doesn't work, use unlocker.

Oh thanks, it is currently deleting right now thanks to shift+delete.

EDIT: nvm, going to go download unlocker because it stopped about halfway through saying "access is denied."

EDIT2: Well, this is getting me farther than I was before, but it is telling me a lot of folders aren't locked and isn't deleting them like I tell it to. Gonna go reboot.

Search for "cmd"
shift+right click on "cmd.exe"
Click "Run as Administrator"
At the command prompt, navigate to the folder you want
use the command "rmdir /s /q [NAME OF FOLDER]"

After a lot of reboots and unlocker, it finally all deleted. Thanks guys.
