New Maplestory Area Revealed on the "Win a trip to Korea" contest - Solarboy - 2010-03-25
Well, the "Win a trip to korea" contest was held by MapleSEA a quite long time ago, and they revealed a lot fo the photos on their facebook site, nowmost of them were from the contestans doing some stuff, however the trip also included a trip to the Nexon Korea building
Some VERY interesting images were revealed

Here we see a "chibi" version of the JUST implemented boss in KMST its the ogre/gnome/whatever boss.
On the left, we see what appears to be some kind of Selection screen or something. could it be the 4 heroes? :O (yes 4, since I dont think they will add the thief legend since a normal mapler is an aprentice of him)

The left image is the character creation one, nothing really changed.
On the right side We see something that can be itnerpreted as many diferent things, I believe this to be a cutscene, though it may be conected to a member of the black wings, or maybe a dragon

Now judging by the clock, I believe this to be either a map with its own story and those things, but not a themed dungeon, the clock is the thing that makes me think of many things, oculd this be an area axesed through the time temple?!

For some reason I feel like the dev's have already completed 2011's string of patches, they're just releasing them slowly so the content doesn't run out. I bet they're already working on jobs that are different from legends.
But this area doesn't look very interesting, to be honest. Unless it turned out to be a town in TT, and TT is getting an expansion, then HELLLLLLLLLL YEAHHHHHHHHHH

That area doesn't look very threatening or suited for levels 140+, but then again it's virtually impossible to tell in Maple. Hopefully they do something good with it.

About the new area, At first I thought It was a world tour area, but I dont htink so, isnce KMS doesnt have the world tour anymore

Again, give credits when you take stuff from spadow. Just because you edit it mildly doesn't mean it is yours. Credits+ link and entirely copy paste from that blog entry is better then editing it with no credits or link.

Doesn't look like it. They typically have a very noticeable "look". More cluttered than a normal area.

I'm betting that this isn't a selection screen. If anything, the top two images and the bottom two look like they're going to be superimposed on top of each other. The two to the left look like they're the same, but in different colors. Zooming in, I can barely make out what appears to be some sort of tower on the right two images. One has to wonder why they would need a green set and a blue set, unless all four of the images are to be superimposed on top of each other for artistic effect (and not just the first row and the second row being kept seperate like I currently believe).
Unfortunately, zooming in on the second picture that is assumed to be a cutscene just makes things even more confusing. I can make out some sort of face, but the placement of it is far too strange for it to be a face.

Anyways, my ideas on the new town is something for the new job, since it has a more modern "classic" look and the new class from the info on them so far, seems more modern. From the work being used on this though, it might very well be like the adventurer towns; an actual area with mobs and quests. Hopefully. Also, the reason why this stuff is coming out so late when it was supposed to be in "march" may be because as spadow noted, the ANNIVERSARY is coming up. 7th anniversary. There's something about the number 7 that is lucky, and nexon usually likes making a rare few spectacular patches. Especially when it is making up for things.

That clear picture gives off a coastal port town vibe. But looking at the world map, I honestly can't see where a town like that could fit in. It's either going to be on yet another island, an event area, and/or they might expand the World Map...

Hmmm, personally it reminds me of a train station more than a costal vibe. I wonder if maybe they'll do like a Time Traveling Train or something like that. Or it could be a hub area to get to other places, though Orbis already is sort of situated to do that so I think that's a little less likely.

I don't think it looks like anything in particular; that's just a style for important buildings, such as major train stations, government buildings, etc. And it isn't anything old, I think it's modern and relatively hi-tech because of the building on the left; it has something coming out of the roof.
