How expensive is it exactly? (especially in scania)
I know it only drops from horntail but surely there aren't that many BM that need it right?
Then why have I yet to spot one in the fm/mts <=^1 is it that rare? (I don't look that much through the fm though, so that's why I'm asking.)

People probably just throw them out since they're basically worthless. You can ask someone at horntail to keep it for you, though it is the least common book drop there aside from MW 30 along with snipe 30.
