Normal day today, go to school, get mah watts, catch the 3 pokemon and 3 items on the ride home.
However, today, once I upload my data from my walker to my DS, i look back at the pokewalker. Even though i had sent my pokemon back, the little (!) bubble meaning that your pokemon found something was lit up. Curious, i pressed it, and instead of an item, A hoothoot appears, and the text reads "A Hoothoot wants to join you"
Wild pokemon joining your party? How is this triggered? Wow, this was cool, maybe oncei i unlock everything i will test this by uploading then walking with no pokemon.....

Yeah if you walk around without any pokemon, instead of having to catch them they'll just join you.
