New release: Firefox 3.6 - Takebacker - 2010-03-12 So i got the message for this last night. First thing i noticed was personas. (how could i not? it's plastered all over the page you see when you finish D/Ling) I really like this feature, but i can't help but think how much of a blatant rip off from chrome it is. Aside from that though this is a pretty major release. ._. Overall improvements all around. I can't even remember all of the cool things i can do now because they added so many things. xD What do you think about this new version? New release: Firefox 3.6 - XTOTHEL - 2010-03-12 It's been out for quite a while now...but I don't notice anything really. BUT I do crash a lot sometimes, not sure what the reason is. New release: Firefox 3.6 - madanthony - 2010-03-12 Odd, I crash way less with 3.6. Almost never. I had quite a few issues with 3.5 New release: Firefox 3.6 - Takebacker - 2010-03-12 XTOTHEL Wrote:It's been out for quite a while now...but I don't notice anything really. New release: Firefox 3.6 - ShadyPriest - 2010-03-12 Its been out for about one and a half months. Personas existed before 3.6, although it wasn't integrated in firefox, other than as an add-on. New release: Firefox 3.6 - Horusmaster - 2010-03-12 I had to switch to chrome after version 3.6 cause of a memory leak. Firefox will take up over 600mb memory after you spend 1 hour on youtube (at least for 64bits windows 7 computers) New release: Firefox 3.6 - Takebacker - 2010-03-12 Oh well, there still hasn't been a topic for it.
New release: Firefox 3.6 - Roxas - 2010-03-12 I've stopped using FF ever since I switched to HTML5 Youtube. Chrome would hang up on the YT site for like 2 secs. But yeah, I'm not changing my mind unless they get it right with FF 4.0. New release: Firefox 3.6 - Myles - 2010-03-12 I'll stick to my Chrome, thanks. New release: Firefox 3.6 - Yotsuba - 2010-03-12 You were able to create your own theme, with a wider variety of customization options before Chrome came out. Personas have also been out a whole before the FF update, but it was as a plugin instead. I never really had many problems with FF aside from the memory issue. This would rarely ever be bad enough to become a big problem though. I wouldn't notice performance issues much, and if I did it'd be once every other month. I enjoy all of my plugins, and until another browser has enough of a plugin library to compete against FF (and not just half-assed ports of FF plugins to other browsers) then I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon. Besides, if you read Chromes user agreement it gives you a sense of unease. |
