Lately I've had a lot of free time on my hands and find myself looking for interesting Manga to read. I can't find anything that really piqued my interest, so I'd like for you guys to throw out some suggestions. I'm into something that is more plot driven and takes more thinking than just mindless reading.

I'm not into cutesie amine girl stuff so let's try and stay away from that if at all possible, please.

Give me something people! ):

P.S. I haven't found a really good site to read Mangas on yet. I've found some that are meh. But nothing with a huge list that I feel will have some of the ones listed here. So any site suggestions would be welcomed as well Tongue

Good manga site for online reading - Mangahut.

As for suggestions, it would help if you give a small list of what you already like. I have a few ideas on what to recommend, but you're a bit too vague. I don't want to recommend something that you wouldn't be interested in.

I'll just recommend Deadman Wonderland for now.

Synopsis Wrote:The story is set after the destruction of most of Tokyo by an earthquake and centers on Ganta Igarashi, a middle school student framed for the murder of his classmates. Igarashi is sentenced to Deadman Wonderland, a bizarre privatized prison that is one part incarceration and one part public spectacle for tourists.

Maybe Monster as well, that's really story driven. Though, if you prefer, there's a really good anime adaptation for it. The adaptation is a pretty well transition, and since the series doesn't seem to have had a cap on the amount of episodes they could have for it, they managed to get through the whole story without cutting it short. The series is 74 episodes.

Up to you if you'd rather read or watch. I've done both, because I really enjoyed it.

Air gear is a good manga to read.

Best site for manga is http://www.onemanga.com/. I also like one manga cause of the mobile option they have now.

Ah, sorry I just can't stand JPEG artifacts all over, and shrinked pages. I'm really picky about quality - in fact, I download rather than watch online (it's faster that way anyway, when you have RSS feeds stright from the translation site, rather than waiting for someone to upload it on the anga sites).

Mangahut has been the only site I know of that not only has good quality, but keeps their library up to date (depends on the uploaders, this goes for every site).

I'm not one for watching due to that I'm pretty much always on my iPod. Unless someone knows of an amazing place to stream them from I'll just stick to reading xD

I didn't really list anything because I haven't read much. I recently read Code Geass which I found to be an interesting story. I absolutely loved Death Note & Rurouni Kenshin. Other than that I haven't read much outside of the occasional Naruto/Bleach mangas. Growing up I absolutely loved watching Digimon, but I've yet to find a place where I can read those ):

I'll start with Deadman's Wonderland and go from there. Any and all suggestions are welcomed (:

That's a bit of those "cutsey girl anime stuff."

Finished up to chapter 32 in Deadman's Wonderland. I believe that's the most recent. Going to check out Monster later. Looking for some more suggestions ;P

The only ones that are not cutesy that I read = Naruto and One Piece.

Everything else is kinda cutesy ; Watashi ni XX Shinasai! , Hyakuen! , etc.

Seconding that Monster recommendation.

Your criteria are a little odd, but here goes:

Mirai Nikki is some seriously fine stuff also. I'll toss that in this thread too. Very, very good story, in fact.

ALSO: Franken Fran is an awesome seinen series with only 23 or so English chapters translated; genre I would have to say dark comedy, "medical" and a bit of horror tossed in. By no means is it the kind of uber crazy story driven series you're looking for, every chapter is its own story. But goddamn, every story seems so good. It's a cult hit- you'll find yourself either loving it, or hating it.
