Lol what the hell. They're pissing off both the people who don't get to awaken because, well, they don't get to awaken, and the ones that do because the event's only for new characters.
Wonder if they'll add dungeons aside from the awakening ones. Or if they decide to do something stupid like making their own awakening quest.
I get to awaken, so can't complain too much I guess.

For the record, I will not be assisting ANYONE in Awakening until all awakenings are released. If Bender comes out before some classes, I'll still try to awaken, but will not ask for any assistance in doing so.
