random, constant disconnection. - finite - 2008-08-14
i know this has probably been posted 3984293 times, but i wanted to try my luck and see if i can find help :[
so as everyone knows, after the patch and extensions, people were having trouble in yellonde, the new server. some were disconnecting a few minutes/seconds after logging in and landing and this was happening constantly. for some, it stopped. for others, it didn't.
i had this same problem right as yellonde was released. i got on, got disconnected. i tried to stay on but i just got kicked off every time. i don't even know what prompts this since after getting kicked off, the game automatically closes and there's no notice or pop-up box. after a while, however, this ceased and i got to enjoy good playing time until 5:30 EST (the server check/maintenance.)
after the server check, i got on and everything was running fine until 8:30 EST and i experienced the random, constant disconnecting/kicking off once again :[ i'm getting so frustrated. is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? also, is there a way to fix it?

The best way to differentiate between whether it was your issue or an serverside issue were if you went web-browsing. I'm gunna say that this would be a server side issue though.
Generally, a dc would make the maple screen freeze and then take you to your desktop where a popup will explain that GG couldn't connect.
