Ok today we got our course selection cards.
Kinda annoyed my PreAP Algebra2 teacher recommended me for Academic PreCal. I can over ride her decision, but she sorta is right. I'm doing so bad in PreAP Algebra2.
(Academic = 4.0, PreAP = 5.0)
English 4
Government (Economics 2nd semester)
Physics PreAP
PreCal (might change it to PreAP, can't decide)
Japanese 2
Chinese 3 PreAP
BLANK
Now, I need some easy 5.0 classes to take and I like math.
My teacher also recommended me to take AP STATS, but I don't know exactly how hard that is. I've heard it's easy, almost a blow off class. However, if I double up in math is that going to super pineapple me over, should I just keep academic PreCal? I don't like academic classes because I lose interest quick and don't see a challenge so I don't try real hard. I suck at English and Social Studies, therefore why I'm going to take academic versions of those classes. My semester average in PreAP Algebra2 is barely a C. Again, people have told me PreAP PreCal is so much easier than PAPAlgebra2.
Just need suggestions, and if all else fails I can just do student assistant for the last slot.

AP stats was aight. I didn't relaly care cause we ended up just playing Pokemon/yugioh/mario kart/mario party/advanced wars /whatever multiplayer game was hot at the time. We didn't do squat in that class even though we did learn. The tests were all from the internet and reused from year to year so no point really studying. It was just a class that appeared on Transcripts for me, but if you plan on majoring in a science, it could help you in the long run.

AP stats has a lot less math than you think. It's a bunch of story problems. xP Some equations to memorize, but they're almost all the same. Subtract two numbers, divide by another, look up that number in a table, you got your answer.
That's how I remember Stats. (Well, teacher LOVED it, so he'd go off on rants a lot)

AP stats is easy. Much easier than precal. I've never heard of a 'PreAP' class, but in my school, algebra 2 was much easier than precal, and cal was easier than both.
Going to guess PreAP is the equivalent of an 'honors' course.

AP Stats took me a while to get used to, since you don't do so much math as you do explaining your results. And when you have to explain, you must make sure you get every little detail in. I liked the class though after I got over that fact.

At my school it's supposed to be very easy, and a growing AP class in popularity. BTW, here's my schedule for next year :
AP Chemistry (0 period should be lovely)
AP U.S. History
Math Analysis (Precalculus)

As has been said, stats isn't as much math, but knowing how to apply it and explain what the math means.
Apparently in our school/district APUSH is much easier than it is in others (it is. we get practically zero work other than reading/studying the text) and, conversely, AS/AP English is much harder.

When I took Pre-Calc. in HS, we did a lot of Statistics material at the end of the class, so when I went on to take Elem. Stats at the university level, it was really easy. Only like half the class was really new to me.
But, a lot of people did really bad in there because they try to shove an entire textbook in one semester, two days a week. So it was easy to fail out if you didn't pay attention or at least read the material.
My g/f took AP Stats and passed the exam with a 5 and she didn't cover nearly as much as us...you'd probably do fine. Unless you just flat out don't pay attention or do any work. o~o;
