I remember in the origional announcement for them, you get one a day for 20 days, then another that last 30 days, leading up to 50 days of a 2Atk 4M.Atk medal. So 50 days, right?

No, they announced you'd get a 1 day medal every day you logged on and if you kept logging on for 20 days, you would get a one month medal. But that quest was glitched from the start, from the quest ending after changing chanels or logging out to that 7 months medal.

A few people in bello had the correct medals that expired in 2 months, so I wasn't complelty sure.

So does that mean that they fixed the glitch, BUT the ones with this medal get to keep it? OMFG im so lucky
