What's the story behind your nick name? - Rob - 2010-02-05
I'm fairly sure some people have already posted their story, but I want to know about some more.
My nickname comes from when I was about... 9? I always saw american movies with cliche names, such as, Jake, Max, Rob, Bob etc. And I wanted to be a movie hero, so I picked Rob. Eventually it stucked and I added Mdza to it, which is an abbreviation of Mendiolaza, the little village I live in.

I remember having like ten thousand diferent nick names through the internet when i was 10, then i just wanted to stick to one and at that time I was playing the whole boktai series, thus making my nick name Solarboy, i also use shady but that is used here >_<

Back when I was 9 or 10 I used to think Japenese names were just Americans trying to think of cool-sounding names for video game characters. I'd play a game and be all "RYU HYABUSA? WHERE DO THEY COME UP WITH THIS SH'I'T?" so one day I was inspired to think of my own cool-sounding name, and got Septher. Yes, I know, it's pretty awesome and it's unfortunate that none of you have or ever will think of a name superior. Just say it out loud. It sounds awesome. It looks awesome.

My name just means "fighter" in italian.
Since I didn't even know how MapleStory worked back then, I chose this name, guessing that the game would've been about fighting. I ended up choosing the italian version of the name of an in-game job.
But guess what. I'm a MARKSMAN.

I liked a charater in a book who was named Cacambo. Then, I registered for Xbox live and tried to remember if it was "Cacambo" or "Cancambo" because I didn't want a name like "i shute u nubz." Obviously, I chose the wrong one, but I still liked the name.

I used to (and still do.. but rarely) play this online web browse RPG awhile back, and since most of the game involved fighting, I named myself "Zach the Slayer" cause all I did was slay/kill stuff. Over time I eventually changed my name to "Slayer Zach". So.. SlayerZach stuck to me like glue.
If you mean my "real" nickname:
Zach = short for Zacharie. KTHXBAI

My name comes from an ancient legend about a race of Angels said to be more powerful than regular Seraphims themselves, and said to be on the same level and even beyond Gods themselves.
Also, it's Meta - Seraphim, not Metal - Seraphim. Meta = beyond all things, Metal = some lame add-on when you can't think of anything better. It pisses me off when people think I am a Metal Seraphim.
I also enjoy my name because it's completely unique to me and me alone. How many people can say they have a completely unique and original username?

I played Maplestory beta. I prided myself upon being a Maplestory Betan. And I needed an original name.
Behold, ClawofBeta. Claw for my assassin. Heck, I have all of these other characters named SpearofBeta, GunofBeta, HPofBeta (hp warrior)...
No one took any of these names, but I think when Evan comes out I'll break this cycle.
Oh yeah, and if you guys were wondering why I get called Corn sometimes...
