Can't make up my mind. - Adramelech - 2010-02-01 Hello, so I'd like to ask of your help on finding the right mmo for me xD. I don't know how to articulate what I mean to ask of you very coherently so I'll give you a bit of back story so that maybe you'll get what I mean. I've played just about EVERY single mmo out there, alot that arn't even in english yet. the four that I played the most were GMS ( from beta up till now ) , Arado Senki ( japanese version of Dungeon Fighter ) , Phantasy Star Universe AOTI and Cabal Online. gameplay wise I'd say these are the best however the problem is this. what I'm looking for in an mmo is deep character customization, I want to be able to chill and feel like theres no pressure to level up like mad. in each game here theres somthing I really enjoy In cabal , I enjoy being a force to be reckoned with, I could just sit outsid of a town and be challenged to pvp or in a nation war make a winning startegy for my nation/rack up a bunch of points taking out gaurdians. In PSU ; AOTI I can customized my character to my hearts content and make my own personal living space in game however I like it. in Arado Senki I liked the comboing and fast paced gameplay. in MS I enjoy the huge world and establishing myself as a prominent player . but each of the games has a draw back that always makes me quit eventually, then after a few months I want to come back to them. in cabal, the graphics + lags + HOLY pomegranate DRAMA + Tiny World always make me quit in PSU, the gameplay itself is lackluster, pressing two buttons to attack and its lvling so unrewarding. in Arado , Money issues + difficulty w/o a remote made me quit + I live outside the u.s so no N.A version for me. and in MS I've left / returned for many reasons, mainy because I got hacked + lvling in MS is the worst thing.. EVER.. period. not to mention I'm sick of merchanting after losing years worth of mesos/items. So yeah, I'm stuck and Its a problem. I can't decide on the right mmo, If I play MS I gotta grind my fingers to the bone to get back to where I was, If I play cabal, I have to play in a drama server because I got 100 euro in cash items on my char. , PSU is pay to play and emm yeah, no ty, Arado is in japanese. X_X I was thinking of waiting for Blade and Soul or All Points Bulletin. but I'm not sure. I'm posting this in Rubik's cube because well.. yeah I could use though out answers and not single sentance responces. I don't mind working my char up but , I'd like at the end of the day to have the game on in the studio (don't ask ) so that whenever I feel like it I can walk a few meters to the pc with it on and just enjoy myself without having to worry about lvling/stuff. Thank you VERY much for the help ~ Oz Can't make up my mind. - Beg - 2010-02-01 Why an MMO specifically, what's so different between an MMO and any other non-online game out there if it's solely for entertainment? Truly the only thing MMOs have over non-online games is the community which, for the most part in most cases sucks due to the lack of consequences on the internet. Also, e-drama. Guh. There's always the US version of DFO I guess (via US proxy I guess, there must be at least 1 foreigner on SP.net playing US DFO right now), have heard alot of gleaming reports of the game itself and there's an active community here on SP, but Nexon sucks, as is the norm around these parts. Unless you can't access it that is in which case I'd probably just stick to MS, levelling is nowhere near as painful as it used to be. Assuming you are NXless, Level 70 in a week is doable on 1x. 4th job, probably a month on 1x. Past that it's mostly up to you how you train. Merchanting is not required for funding. Scroll quests alone would most likely get you decent equips. I have no experience with the other games listed. If neither of those is an option, I have no other ideas other than suggest you broaden your horizons for computer-based entertainment past free MMOs which are *usually* artificially lengthened and repetitive in nature to make you pay, of your own free will of course, for advantages and such. Well to keep it short/simple. I like online play for what modern "adventure/rpg" games lack. my internet is already quite slow, a proxy would be the end of me xD. btw I don't mind paying to play an mmo. sorry if It came off that way. but emm.. how in the world do people get from 1-70 in a week nowadays O_O. how many hours a day does this involve??? anyways. Thanks for your help in sorting all this stuff out in my mind. Can't make up my mind. - Greg - 2010-02-01 Go play WoW. I've never played it myself, but just look at it. Excellent customer service, a thriving community, and contains everything that a good MMO should contain (Balance between grinding and questing, gigantic world, fair PvP, etc). You can't honestly expect to find the ideal MMO when picking out of only a handful of FREE ones. Can't make up my mind. - Solarboy - 2010-02-01 Try out dragonica, its AWESOME!! |
