Pyramid PQ Damage Buff Glitch - FrozNlite - 2010-01-21

Yes, the thread is finally, officially here. Cyanne hit on it partially with her other thread, but this one is simply, bluntly stating the already well-known and clearly well-exploited fact: if you quit Pyramid PQ when you have activated the 400% damage buff, you retain the buff for a period of time (I've heard 30 minutes, 40 minutes, and 60 minutes for those with max Alchemist) anywhere in the Maple World, allowing people like a 6-man group in Khaini yesterday to down HT in only 17 minutes.
Considering this buff grants players with, essentially, private server-like power, and is only somewhat contained/restricted with a 200,000 damage cap, it's an issue that any cognizant, responsible company should deal with immediately.
Of course, with their database hacked recently and the user information for every player in Global MS leaked, Nexon does not fall into this category.

I really meant NLs because Corsairs probably wouldn't hit the damage cap without their yohohos and their yohohos actually BREAK! Plus NLs have Alchemy. Corsairs don't.

Only problem being that most servers don't have 30 Corsairs, surviving is still a requirement, and that it doesn't even matter when everyone's damage is multiplied fivefold.

Better than that...
Normal stars: +400% = 500% (5 times as much damage)
SP stars: +400% = 450% of first star (45 times as much as the original hit)
So you go from 3 * 1 + 3 * .5 to 3 * 5 + 3 * 5 * 4.5 = 18.3x damage for NLs.
Of course at that point hitting the damage cap is pretty wull guaranteed, but hey. NLs do 10 hits in 1 second. Corsairs, at best, only do about 8. So that's 400k+ extra.
