Would you like a Goblin Pad feature for Maplestory? - IllegallySane - 2010-01-16 So here's the idea. In light of all these hacking attacks, I don't think a single PIN is enough. A 2nd layer of protection is probably best. For those that don't know what the Goblin Pad is, it's basically the PIN system for Maple, but implemented in-game. You need to control with your arrows a goblin into huts with the correct number until you have a 4 digit PIN. This will be activated whenever you logged on and need to buy/sell/trade anything that involves mesos/items, adding skill points/AP, using Legendary Spirit or Item Maker, even buying/using CS items or selling/buying things in MTS. In other words, you need to enter it every time you log on. Sounds troublesome, no? But the kicker is if you enter the PIN wrong 3 times, that's it. You're kicked off the account until the next day (at least that's what I assume). I don't know how hacklable the Goblin Pad is, but given you need to actually move the goblin into the huts instead of clicking should make it tricky, to say the least. Personally what i think is best is to get rid of the pin system entirely but only if we have vasco system authenticators. |
