fastest/most mobile class - hyperhopper - 2010-01-16 what class do you think is the fastest/most mobile? fastest/most mobile class - Bribery - 2010-01-16 Night Lord fastest/most mobile class - SlayerZach - 2010-01-16 ^Night Walkers are pretty exactly the same too. I'll also have to go with Dawn Warrior (jump casting their Soul Runner), and Aran's Combat Step can be dang fast with speed equips and that jumping after casting trick (although, this can take a bit of time to get used to). fastest/most mobile class - Kawasari Mimoto - 2010-01-16 I'm going to have to say Night Lord here. My personal experiences ranges from these classes I have played, previously owned in the past, or still have today: -Night Lord -Corsair -Bishop -Dragon Knight -Bucc Out of 5 of my strongest, 3rd job classes+ characters or higher, I noticed my Night Lord was the fastest. Corsairs have maxed Recoil, but the problem with Recoil is that it's significantly harder to do a short hop with it as compared to a NL's Flash Jump. Also, Recoil had delay, last I played. I can easily do something like this (and don't mind it being sloppy, I was in a rush when I drew this, consider it as a 3-seconds interval, though I'm sure it's slightly inaccurate somewhere)
fastest/most mobile class - Bribery - 2010-01-16 I would also say Bishops/Arch Mages because of Teleport, but it's not like they move when training
fastest/most mobile class - Alloy - 2010-01-16 If Corsairs get a delay that makes them faster than NLs, I hope they at least think with a brain, and make Flash jump like an attack, and I mean by that that infamous pot lag thing I keep repeating all over the place. But yeah, prety much, Night Lords are the best moving guys out there, Night Walkers being the same but sooner. fastest/most mobile class - Spideyjvc - 2010-01-16 Alloy Wrote:If Corsairs get a delay that makes them faster than NLs, I hope they at least think with a brain, and make Flash jump like an attack, and I mean by that that infamous pot lag thing I keep repeating all over the place. Hmmm? NLs have haste coupled with FJ, and most NLs I see can go faster than me if constantly FJing while I'm recoil shot+wings traveling. The pot lag makes it more difficult to keep yourself alive, but I don't see it slowing you down to below a Corsair's level at all. Even with the KMST balance patch, recoil isn't faster than FJ. fastest/most mobile class - Kawasari Mimoto - 2010-01-16 Spideyjvc Wrote:Hmmm? Night Lords should be kept first in line in terms of mobility, imo. The day when they make a Night Lord slower than any other classes in this game, is when sh'ts going down. Because all a NL is = speed and power. Corsairs are more so for versatility, because Corsairs can easily switch modes, from Cannon -> Rapid Fire -> Cannon, etc. I doubt they'll change NLs much in the future, lol . . . thank god. Though it's obvious on paper that Corsairs > NLs. fastest/most mobile class - HellenzSin - 2010-01-16 u get used to the "pot lag", its quite obvious when u need to pot coz of it so it will eventually not slow u down at all. fastest/most mobile class - Alloy - 2010-01-16 Spideyjvc Wrote:Hmmm? Have a look. Difference quite narrowed, but it's ok, as it's with haste, and they need to earn it with a party or equips, and also takes skill to perform. Anyways, you may not notice from outside, but in my particular case, living from Spain, and all, sometimes (and it's more often than it could seem), the pot lag manages to reach the second jump, making you simply unable to use it again, until a third jump (And lag spikes render you FJless... And potless, it's ok if you just potted, but not the case). What I just mean, is that without that lag, it'd guarantee 100% connections between jumps. HellenzSin Wrote:u get used to the "pot lag", its quite obvious when u need to pot coz of it so it will eventually not slow u down at all. As I said, living far from the servers, like, on a different continent (Yes, I'm from before the "new accounts ip ban" thing) makes you quite vulnerable to it. For example, it's impossible for me to attack on the air after a flash jump, until I'm very close to the floor. fastest/most mobile class - Tikey - 2010-01-16 Top 3 I would say NLs, Corsairs, then Mages. fastest/most mobile class - Bryan500 - 2010-01-16 Tikey Wrote:Top 3 I would say NLs, Corsairs, then Mages. currently mages just spamming teleport is faster than recoil + wings but im positive sairs will be faster with the new cooldown. Ive had numerous play races with a bishop friend across random fm rooms and she doesnt beat me by much atm. Kawasari Mimoto Wrote:...but the problem with Recoil is that it's significantly harder to do a short hop with it as compared to a NL's Flash Jump... I dont really find this a problem since there are three ways to recoil each with different distance Shortest distance: just hitting the recoil button while standing on the ground Medium distance: Full Jump then recoil (this can further be modified by hitting the recoil after the peak of the jump i.e while on the way back down) longest distance: hit jump then recoil immediately after, almost tapping both at the same. This gives noticeably more distance than full jumping then recoiling at the peak of the jump fastest/most mobile class - Kawasari Mimoto - 2010-01-16 Bryan500 Wrote:currently mages just spamming teleport is faster than recoil + wings but im positive sairs will be faster with the new cooldown. From playing all 3 classes: NL, Corsair, Bishop. I can definitely say with ease that my NL beats both of them. I can't say much for Corsair vs Bishop though, but Teleport's range isn't exactly all that great. Though Recoil has a delay, the range of it per usage > a Bishop's teleport. I would assume Corsairs are faster than a Bishop.. but the margin isn't too huge. fastest/most mobile class - hyperhopper - 2010-01-16 wait, sars are gonna get reduced recoil cooldown? finally! so many times i hit the button while the cooldown is still going, then the buffer feeds it through and i fall off a cliff at the worst possible time fastest/most mobile class - Bryan500 - 2010-01-16 Kawasari Mimoto Wrote:I would assume Corsairs are faster than a Bishop.. but the margin isn't too huge. Though i wish this were true, I have to disagree. Ive been beaten enough times by a bishop friend to know this. We did it in the ludi themed fm room, completely flat map with no obstructions and i have Recoil + Wings on a macro so i was going as fast as possible. fastest/most mobile class - Manu - 2010-01-16 I must say that if you use combat step correctly, and there's slight territory bonuses, Aran can be quite fast. fastest/most mobile class - ArbalistMaster - 2010-01-16 aran @ nath. lol fastest/most mobile class - Bribery - 2010-01-16 Arch Mages and Bishops are definitely more mobile than Corsairs. Recoil Shot has a 2 second delay and Wings-Recoil-Wings is only plausible on flat maps. If you bump into a monster while in the middle of the macro, you'll stop floating and hit the ground. fastest/most mobile class - Kawasari Mimoto - 2010-01-16 With the upcoming updates, order will eventually be: NL -> Corsairs -> Telecasters In that order, highest mobility to lowest, and I'm excluding the other classes since I know their mobility already sucks. fastest/most mobile class - iFrancisco - 2010-01-16 I think the type of map is very important too. If it is a map with a lot of different levels (as in, not flat but a bunch of platforms going up) then it gives a huge advantage to Shadowers due to Assaulter being able to be used up a platform; it has more vertical range than FJ/RS/Tele does since you can jump then use it (I know you can with RS, but it still doesn't go as high). Shadowers are VERY mobile given that they have haste and assaulter is very versatile in moving up/across platforms. On a flat terrain, it has to be NLs obviously. You can make an argument for Corsairs given the recent change, but honestly how practical is that? You use cannon/torpedo to kill the monsters so you are constantly mounting which takes away time; the corsair scenario is not very realistic, and from personal experience they are less mobile then even a Shadower during training. Mages can be mobile, but you don't realistically utilize it since ultimates hit the whole screen. |
