I'm a 116 Blaze Wizard and I'm having some trouble hunting time pieces in regret 5. The thing is I only have 9500 mp or so and meteor takes up 6000 mp and then they hit me for about 3500 dmg iirc. I die too much and waste too much pots so my question is if elemental resistance affects the dmg of qualm guardians or chief qualm guardians? If not any other tips on surviving? Yes, I realize I've posted this in the mage Q/A but noone gave me an anwser so I thought I'd try a more watched forum.
Bottom Line: Does Elemental Resistance affect the damage that qualm guardians or chief qualm guardians do too you?

If i recall, elem resistance only helps where the attack is classed as magical with (in your case) fire element. The qualm guardian and chief qualm guardian attacks which are magical are not elemental, so it would not help you at all. The list of mobs where elem resistance is of use is not long. Not a particularly useful skill.

Elemental Resistance affects all magical attacks. Only FPs and ILs have a limited resistance called Partial Resistance. I'm not sure whether or not the Guardians attacks are magical though.

Wait a minute. Description says
'Gains resistance against all Magic attacks (Fire, Ice, Lightning & Poison.)'
'all magic', but then lists the elements. So is it really all magical attacks, or all elemental magical attacks?

Is that the Blaze Wizard or Priest version? I know the Priest version reduces all magic attacks. I'm just going off of the assumption that the BW's Element Resistance = Priest's Element Resistance.
