Is there a reason nobody does it? (EMS)

It is such an underrated and fun PQ. It's competitive, and not repetitive. Cool

Competition in it usually turns into "who can bomb everyone else the most". Blood pressures go up.
Then there's the fact that it's exp output sucks compared to kPQ or something. Maybe if you had 5 or so mules and you got free 1st places it wouldn't... but 1v1 TW... Dx.

I found it to be quite a lot faster than KPQ. Since in a 2v2 if you get 30 points you get 9k EXP in 10 minutes, that's more than KPQ altogether AFAIK. And the amount of EXP you get goes up the more people there are IIRC, so it has potential to be a really fast-levelling PQ.

Dodging the bombs adds another fun element for me, trying to dodge them and stuff. I can see how it can be frustrating if you take it too seriously though, but if you do ACPQ in a light-hearted way it can be quite good.

9k? Wut. I've only known the max to be 5k. D:

I'm pretty sure I got 9k last time I did it, a couple of hours ago. Rolleyes Could be mistaken.

I have no doubt that you got 9k. I'm just wondering if I'm an idiot, or if gMS hates ArPQ.

I didn't mean it like that, I honestly can't remember that much myself. But I remember going up like 50% at level 22.

edit : Just did a 2-people ACPQ, and I won 31-26. 8,775 EXP.

Well it's the general problem with Maplestory + Party Quests... Training on 2x exp (or even 4x exp) is a LOT faster then Party Questing. That's why the -LARGEST- part of people skip it, it's just not worth it.

The other problem is, regarding the -FUN- part, if your level is too high (which happens to nearly ANY PQ in maple a LOT... -.-), you simply can't do it anymore for fun.

Now if only Nexon would create this:

- Make PQ's like minidungeons (so you don't run out of channels!!!)
- Remove -all- PQ's (max)level caps.
- If a PQ's max level originally was lvl 30 -> only allow 1st job skills + max (main) stats to a specific number - aka Ballrog PQ.
- If a PQ's max level originally was lvl 70 -> only allow 1st / 2nd job skills + max (main) stats to a specific number - aka Ballrog PQ.
- If a PQ's max level originally was lvl 120 -> only allow 1st / 2nd / 3rd job skills + max (main) stats to a specific number - aka Ballrog PQ.

And most important:
- If your level exeeds the "normal" level, give the PQ'er 2%~5% (yes percent) exp per hour (depending on your level).

This way it's still not totally useless doing (low leveled) PQ's for -FUN- with your friends/guild -without- having to create PQ mules.

IMO, these are the main "problems" with PQ's in maple... by the time you're bored and -WANT- to do a PQ (read: high lvl), there is nothing to do anymore...

I actually have a better idea. Make them like they are now, BUT add difficulty levels. Like, easy level is for those first levels, then add a ne level range, etc, until HELL MODE. That one's HARD, and no level restriction. Something like having King Slime super kb you, and deal like 3k hits, while having 2 mil hp. Something like that can be fun. Of course, the rewards are simply better level-wise for the level it was first designed for. Still nice on the rest, but not as much. "LV 198 NL JOINING KPQ", anyone?

Back when I did Ariant Coli, I had 2 PCs. I would purposely let my lv 30 fighter gain all of the marbles/stones/jewels, and then when there's 1 min left, purposely bomb herself. Then my weaker character would literally RUN over and loot everything. Best way to get EXP til up to lv 27 or so.
