Make a Southperrian Cry* - Throes - 2010-01-07

Good evening, fellow Southperrians.

A strange thing happened to me this week: I cried while singing along to a song on Lego Rockband. It took me completely by surprise; the song was unfamiliar to me, and yet I found myself choking back tears and trying not to fail as we helped a Lego farmer grow Lego crops by summoning a Lego rainstorm. It was ridiculous. I wiped my eyes, coughed, and hid my shame from my brother-in-law who was playing on the drums. I made excuses that my voice was tired from singing several sets in a row and that was the reason for my shaky and lackluster performance. I'm not sure he bought it.

I cried playing Lego Rockband.

Yes, I am a crybaby. So why not make a game of it? You know you've always wanted to make someone cry over the internet; here's your chance to fulfill that secret (evil shameful twisted) desire you've always had, courtesy of yours truly!

THE RULES:

1. You are allowed THREE submissions (videos, poems, songs, stories, whatever) per post. No double posting and no repeat submissions are allowed. You may post as many times a day as you like, so long as there is at least one post in between.

2. The following submissions are BANNED from this thread, as they would result in an insta-win:
the opening scene of Finding Nemo

3. Each person who makes me cry gets a doodle of their MS character* and points toward the Biggest Meanies on Southperry ranking:

watery eyes - 1 point
tears falling - 2 points
audible weeping - 5 points

4. If Southperrians can make me cry 10 times, I will donate an undisclosed (*coughsmallcough*) sum of monies to the forum. I am also open to suggestions of other prizes/means of humiliation/what have you.

Posts that do not follow these rules will be ignored.

Remember, crying doesn't result only from sadness; one may cry tears of joy, tears of frustration, or tears of laughter. So yeah. Have fun with it.

You're definitely headed in the right direction, Baklava, but I need more detail! I need my imagination to put me in that heartwrenching emotional place where tears are born.

Or a Youtube vid...

Do people really cry from Thunder by Boys Like Girls?

YOUR VOICE IS THE SOUNDTRACK TO THE SUMMER SOMETHING SOMETHING UNLIKE ANY OTHER, YOU'LL ALWAYS BE MY THUNDER

really?

I actually just re-listened to that album the other day. Not tearful at all. Do you have some sort of meaningful memory attached to it?

Damn you for saying fu'ck you to Herbert and making me curious what his video was. I cede to the Jablonski.

Perhaps, tears of laughter

Yeah, it had to be said. The video was great.

The rock song killed the emotion. Sadly. The story and the lyrics were great.

I never heard that song before I first sang it playing Lego Rockband... I don't know what happened at all! The lyrics really struck something soft and squishy inside of me (which apparently isn't difficult to do) and yeah... I couldn't help myself. I honestly don't know!

Anywho madanthony gets +1 Meanie Point for tearing up my eyes. I haven't read/watched anything else since Rob posted 2 hours of eye candy. Gonna give the hubby some lovin' and maybe get through a couple more posts before bedtime.

I did because it actually had some sentimental value to me and this other guy.
He's dead now.
