Hmmm. I like almost every genre. I don't like fire emblem and kingdom heart (i tried them) and i got mario kart. Elite beat agent and World Ends With You look good. I'll probably try them.
Edit: If not everybody know what m3 ds real is, i'll explain: it's a little card that you put in an usb adapter and you download free ds games on the internet. After, you put the little card in a ds card and *POOF* you get all the games you downloaded for free. That's why if i don't like a game, i can delete it without paying a cent.

Dragon Quest IV (If a monster called Ultra Violet Ray doesn't phase you, you're set. What about Foo Yung and Chow Mein? Even better!)
(I'd suggest Dragon Quest V as well if only it didn't have an anti-piracy code in it)
Also, Chrono Trigger is protected too. Shame, for it's a great game. Incidentally, both DQV and Chrono Trigger I just went out and bought because I loved playing the SNES versions that I felt I just has to support Square Enix by buying these 2 games.

You guys pointed out most of the titles I was going to suggest.
If you're into riddles, go for Professor Layton. You might wanna try Disgaea as well if you like Fire Emblem.
As a small side treat, try Jump Ultimate Stars out. It's like Super Smash Brothers, but with Shonen Jump Characters. It's hard to find fighting games on the DS anyway, but if you like them then give it a shot.
By the way, due to obvious licensing issues the game was never released outside Japan, but there is an English fan patch for it if you look around, just sayin.

If the game exists, there'a always a 'different' means of obtaining it, meh. If you like MegaMan games, once again, try ZX and ZXA. It's not exactly hard as hell, unless you set it hard difficulty and try to speed-run through it. I've never played MM StarForce, so I can't recommend it, sadly.

Scribblenauts is only good after you beat the main game and you're making levels for friends to solve IMO.
But here are suggestions (in no particular order):
- The World Ends With You (this is pretty much a game that all DS owners should get, it takes advantage of the touch screen without making the controls too awkward and the storyline itself isn't too bad)
- Suikoden Tierkries
- Contact
- Sands of Destruction (when the ROM for it comes out)
- Phoenix Wright Series (including Apollo Justice and the upcoming Miles Edgeworth)
- The Legendary Starfy
- Hotel Dusk
- Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
- Etrian Odyssey II (If you find yourself dying on just the first monster, you're playing the game right)

- Jump! Ultimate Stars (plays like SSB games except it's in japanese and uses manga characters, no need to understand it either, it's a fighting game)
