Monster's attacking range? - Kalovale - 2009-12-28

I'm hunting PoTs at Oblivion 4 and I need a relatively safe spot for my HS mule, seeing as there's no real safe spot.
Specifically, I need the range of the magic attack with crossed swords from both of the Oblivion Guardians. Mucho thanks.

It extends roughly the full screen width, ie. about 800 pixel range? Since it's an area attack it will only shoot when facing left.

I cycle the map in less time than HS's expiry so I'd just stick it in the Resting Spot of Oblivion 4.

Speaking vertically it'll hit way above and a little below the platform, as far as I know there's no safe spot on the ropes.

So will it be safe if I keep the monsters facing right? What about the bottom range? As far as I've observed it seems safer if the monsters are above you.
And I'm aware there's no safe spot, I'm looking for methods that will make a spot safe enough.
And I need to leave a passive leecher there too to boost my exp gain. Tongue

I only really attack the 2 middle layers in the direction that could make them fire off that attack (well, since I use Ice, I only see it if I get some angry and don't kill them, like if I cast HH at the top and then drop down) - so personally I'd probably stick it on the rope up from the ground floor in the bottom right corner. I always do the bottom one right to left, so there shouldn't be as much risk.

I think monsters lose aggro when you go onto platforms below them so it's possible leaving it up at the top platforms could be safe.

Thanks Stereo, I'll try the bottom right corner.
