Summer Olympics '08 - Rain - 2008-08-08 Yea i watched it. The printing blocks were amazing. Just think how long it would have taken to learn that?! Goodluck to Canada!
Summer Olympics '08 - Katie - 2008-08-08 So freaking amazing. I'm watching them now. I think the block's have been the best so far. Summer Olympics '08 - Blankout - 2008-08-08 Wait it's on? o.o Summer Olympics '08 - Katie - 2008-08-08 It's on NBC right now. I'm in EST time zone. It goes till midnight. Summer Olympics '08 - Retalion - 2008-08-08 lolAmerica and their tape delay. I woke up early and watched it live. Some of it was interesting and other parts were just boring (like watching 204 countries walk in... no thanks). I liked the whole footsteps thing at the beginning ;O Summer Olympics '08 - Blankout - 2008-08-08 Cool, I'll go check it out. Thanks. Why would we wanna wake up before the ass crack of dawn to watch it?? No thanks. I'll take my taped delay. The athletes march-in was absolutely brutal after a while but then again we have 204 countries participating this year. Don't think I'm gonna get much sleep tonight, I like watching my sports live, thank you very much. <3 Let's go Canada! On another note, I find Harper selfish for not attending the opening ceremony. The Olympics are one of few national gatherings that aren't about politics and I think Harper should stop treating the Olympics like it's some damn way to get political issues resolved. Besides, he hasn't visited China once during his entire term as Prime Minister and I think this would have been the perfect time to go. Feel free to disagree with me here. Summer Olympics '08 - aznegglover - 2008-08-08 Who's Harper? o.o Loved the blocks, globe, fireworks, and thought the footstep flag thingy (from parade) is pretty cool xD Summer Olympics '08 - SuGaRnSp1C3 - 2008-08-08 aznegglover Wrote:Who's Harper? o.o Stephen Harper is the Prime Minister of Canada :f6: Summer Olympics '08 - Retalion - 2008-08-08 xkatiie Wrote:Of course we are gonna have a delay. Why would we wanna wake up before the ass crack of dawn to watch it?? Well, I personally prefer our system. We get to choose when we watch it, heh. There's the live showing, then there were 2 reruns today. One at 10 am PST, the other at 4 pm PST. The system is like that roughly all Olympics: Live showings for those wanting to wake up to watch it and then reruns/tape delay in the middle of the day for those not wanting to wake up. Best of both worlds instead of being forced to watch tape delay, lols. Summer Olympics '08 - SuGaRnSp1C3 - 2008-08-08 Retalion Wrote:Well, I personally prefer our system. Summer Olympics '08 - Katie - 2008-08-08 Oh, I'm sure we have live versions of it as well. I know the last olympics was live even in the early morning hours. I just kind of like the taped part of it. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking? Summer Olympics '08 - Retalion - 2008-08-08 xkatiie Wrote:Oh, I'm sure we have live versions of it as well. Im not sure but I remember hearing something that the US broadcast on NBC was always on tape delay, lol. I remember a friend in San Antonio or Texas asking me this morning at around 5 am going "Where are you watching the Olympics?!?!? Its not on >=(" and then proceeding to talk about how they only have tape delay'd versions, lol. Summer Olympics '08 - iiMarik - 2008-08-08 Watched it around 1am, it was phenomenal.
