So I was watching What I Like About You on YTV, when I saw a rather disturbing ad. See, this ad was for pregnancy tests. YTV is a channel aimed at children and teenagers. Even if it was 9:30 (Canada's watershed starts at 9) PM, you'd think that a children's television network wouldn't show these kinds of ads. I thought this was... rather shocking, what do you think, Southperry?

I think nothing.

They're going to find out anyways, through school or the internet.

I don't see what's weird about a pregnancy test ad. To be honest, Inuyasha and Ghost in the Shell, two of the animes that air on YTV, are far more disturbing.

Aired* They don't show them anymore. Inuyasha was first aired before they had their current broadcast standards, I believe this applies to Ghost in the Shell too, and that came on pretty close to midnight. This is on a weekday, and at 9:30.

I still don't see what the big deal is... The only thing commercials like those show are the test stick showing a plus or minus or something like that.

It's more what the commercial's about and what channel it's on. I guess it sticks with me more because I've been watching YTV for 11 years now, and this is probably something I wouldn't want to see.

...Now that I think about it, how many people watching YTV even need a pregnancy test?
