Maplestory Bosses Glitching Out - Dual - 2009-11-01

This has been happening to me at almost every boss I go to. I've had it at Zakum, Scarly, Pap, and Pianus. Can someone explain to me what this is? Its only just started happening now, but nobody else seems to be experiencing it. I never have anything open in the background when I'm fighting bosses, and if I use Alt+Enter to go into window mode and back, it will go away. Its just very annoying to have to do it every time.

I've had this problem with all boss attempts I've done, ever.
In my case, though, it's my video card... I think. But since you've been fine until now, I guess I'm wrong.

If no one else is experiencing it, then the problem lies with you. Something in your computer/lappy must have went nuts, and I would first blame the problem on your graphics card.

I'm running XP on a desktop, and I've been fine with this for 2 years.

It's not a "Vista" error. It has something to do with the graphics card running out of memory, I believe. I've run Vista for nearly 3 years and I've never had the weird disappearing Zakum glitch, but on Thursday I went to Zak as usual and in the middle of 3rd body on the 2nd run, me and another person started having the same problem. It was completely fine the first run, too.
About 2 minutes later I froze up and died and dced, and the error message I got was something about "not enough memory to complete this operation."

Hmmmm seems like your graphics card texture buffer is malfunctioning, most likely due to overheating or overclocking.
Things you can try:
- Update your graphics card driver
- Completely re-install maple
- Clean your videocard cooler with a brush
- Replace the cooling compound between your videocard (core + mem) and the cooler
- Underclock your videocard core + mem (opposite of overclocking, try 25% lower speeds)
- Overvolt your videocard a little (+10% is safe)
- Check powercables in your pc from the PSU towards your graphics card (if there are any)
- Clean your current PSU inside your PC (pull the plug first plz
)- Try another PSU in your pc
Only do most of these ^^^ things, if you're know what you're doing!

Then, if this is the case, Maple hogs up resources. Weird.

- Check if the inside of your PC has a LOT of dust in it and if something get's really hot because of that.
Don't worry, you can't get a shock from your PC components, its only 12volt (like a battery), just DON'T use metal parts inside of it when it's powered on. And avoid the Power Supply Unit (PSU), which is a metal box inside your pc case, where you connect your power cable to, just leave that alone.

Maple doesn't require installation.
As for solution, I'm not quite very computer handy, especially hardware-related, but if you're suspecting your VGA card died/burned up or something, first generic suggestion would be graphic card update, yes, second would be clean up the insides of your computer. I know mine has gather a considerate amount of dust and I'm starting to have problem while running 3 Maples, will clean soon.
Use a cotton bud, I suggest avoid using water on the chips except for maybe the liquid specifically made for cleaning up. You can uh.. tear the cotton part a bit so that it spreads out and collect dust more effectively.
