-Hime- Wrote:Hello Maplers!

The MapleWatch Leaf Brigade will be recruiting new memberssoon! Positions will be opening shortly,so keep your eyes open for when to submit your application.

In the meantime, I’d like to provide some informationregarding the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade. Some of this will be a refresher for thosethat have read previous posts. =)

What is theMapleWatch Leaf Brigade (MWLB)?

The MWLB is a volunteer program for Maplers. It’s where you,as a Maple player, can make a difference! MWLB members are volunteers that patrol servers and assist with findingplayers that violate our Terms of Use. Members are given a special account with MWLBcharacters and have the ability to flag players for investigation. Although this is similar to the in-game reportingfunction, one important difference is that evidence is submitted with thesereports. A Maple GM will investigateflagged players, examine the evidence provided by MWLB members, and take theappropriate course of action.

MapleWatch Leaf Brigade members communicate directly with MapleGMs to help keep MapleStory clean! However, because they are not official Nexon representatives, they do not have theability to assist players with their accounts, nor should they be used aschannels of communication for Customer Support.

We know how coolthis sounds, but we are also aware that such privileges could be abused.

The members of the MWLB are expected to handle themselves ina professional manner. Any MWLB memberfound abusing their privileges will be immediately removed from theprogram. We carefully monitor MWLBmembers to prevent abuse from occurring.

Maybe you’re stillnot sure about this. Well, read on!

We’re here to help answer your questions and concerns. Here’s some helpful information regarding theMWLB.

Members of the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade must be in our service area. If you can create a MapleStory character andsuccessfully log into it, you are in our service area. One common misconception is that you mustlive in the Los Angeles area to qualify, and this is not the case! Itdoesn’t matter where you are; as long as you reside in our service area, youcan apply to be an MWLB member (pending another restrictions listed later inthis post).
MWLB members receive a completely separate accountto patrol on. You will not be patrolling on your play account.
To prevent bias in patrolling, we do not allowMWLB members to patrol a server that they have characters on. Now, if you have characters on all servers, but really only play on one or two, please don’t be discouraged from applying. We’ll try to work with you! Remember, we are simply trying to preventabuse of the MWLB accounts.
MWLB members do not have access to accountinformation. Additionally, just likeGMs, they will never ask players for their account information or pin number.
MWLB accounts are completely separate from playaccounts. This means that MWLB members donot play or quest on their MWLB accounts. There are no exceptions to this rule. These accounts are for MWLB use only!
This program is volunteer-based. This means that you don’t have to catch acertain number of rule-breakers or spend a certain amount of time patrolling. How much time you spend patrolling servers isup to you.
Going on vacation? If you’re worried that a long vacation willdisqualify you from the program, don’t be! MWLB members are more than welcome to go onvacation. Any long hiatus from the gamewill be discussed, and your MWLB status will be determined on a case-by-casebasis.
MWLB members are anonymous. They’re like secret agents; they keep theirwatcher lives separate from their MapleStory character lives.
Sounds like a lotof work. What are the benefits?

We’re glad you asked! Joining the MWLB affords you several benefits. Some of these benefits are listed below, butyou never know – there may be more…

MWLB members have the ability to report playersthat they believe are violating our Terms of Use. Being part of the MWLB gives you theopportunity to make a difference in the Maple World!
MWLB members have a direct line of communicationwith the MapleStory GMs. You’ll have theopportunity to interact directly with the MapleStory GMs. How cool is that?
Patrolling MapleStory will provide you with acompletely different view of how MapleStory works. In the words of one MWLBmember, “The program really opened my eyes to how things work behind thescenes.” It’s like a backstage pass toMapleStory!
The sense of accomplishment you feel when aplayer you report gets banned.
The amazing MWLB cap – complete with a dancingMaple leaf design!
Shhh… don’t tell anyone, but there’s talk aboutMWLB members being able to participate in GM events.

Wow! Sounds awesome, right? Ready to find out how to join?

It all starts with an application. You’ll need to fill out the Phase 1application and submit it before the deadline. But before you go and fill out yourapplication, please read the following restrictions regarding MWLB eligibility.

1. Any player found to have a history of abuse ontheir account(s) in any of our gameswill not be considered for this program.

2. You must have a MapleStory character that islevel 70 or higher, OR have a level 45 or higher character on an account thatwas created more than two years before your application date.

3. You must submit your application before thedeadline. Any applications submittedafter the deadline will neither be considered nor responded to.

Once applications are received and reviewed, an email willbe sent back to you regarding your application status. If you pass the initial application phase, youwill then have to participate in a timed interview, as well as fill out aquestionnaire before we make our final decision. It may sound like a lot of work, but it’sdefinitely worth the effort! We hope you enjoy this opportunity to work with GMs and help maintain the integrity of your game!

Last time submissions were done at einquiry@nexon.net or something generic like that. They're quite specific about what they want in the application title though, so don't spam their mail box >_>

EDIT: err I didn't mean that to be an actual email link o.O w/e too lazy to change it xD

I'd do this, but I would kinda get pissed off at the fact that they give you a super crappy intro. I just would want something simple like, "Yo. I'm everywhere and nowhere. Watch your back dudes."

Same as last time i think. Its not all that bad, but i would say 110+ or so would be more appropriate (all the lol naruto assassins are gone before that)

They had their chance to recruit the first time. I'm not bothering anymore. Besides, I don't play MapleStory as much now.

If I could be a MapleBytch Lame Brigade, my IGN would be Prinny, and my intro-line would be "Dood!". I would also look like a blue penguin. /epic

They did recruit the first time... unless you meant "recruit me the first time", in which... meh, can't be helped.

I'm starting to just think that everyone here is sour against it because no one was accepted in.

even if someone was, they cant say they are, or they'd be booted from the failbrigade.
