I was just wondering how many other people only play maple story when a major patch comes out (like Orbis and 4th job).
I only seem to find maple story fun once something new comes out but once that loses it's usefulness, I pretty much lose all interest in the game.

i wouldnt consider myself a major patch player, seeing as i play a couple of times a week ranging from a brief mts check to possibly grinding for 5-10%(not that likely). however when a big patch comes around i may be on more like every day, for a couple hours at a time till ive done everything possible for me to do. like with ariant, it came out, i took two days, a good few hours both of them, and finished all the possible quests. now im back down to every 3-4 days waiting on the next big one.

I know a lot of people came back after the 4th job patch. Not sure how many quit after they got their job. :/

I play when I'm in the mood, I might play more when there's a major patch (since there's more new stuff to do) but I don't come back just because of a patch.

Patches don't really mean anything to me. That's not to say I'm not looking forward to new places to explore. When a new patch comes out, I'll probably rush on over and have a feeling of exstacy for a few days while I explore. But most of the time I'll get bored after a week or so. Then I head back to HHG1 and start whacking snails again.
A huge patch isn't going to make me come back to Maple if I've already decided to quit.

Noooo. I'm waiting for a new server and no matter how big the patch is I will never go back until I get the server. I'll only go on to visit friends and maybe try the new stuff while I'm on.

I normally play a few hours a week but during major patches I play more often to explore and use economic changes to my advantage.
