The Zakum tree has been a living source of evil since the beggining of the maple world. It is said to have the power to corrupt and bring inanimate objects to life. The Zombies and Dark monsters around El Nath are one of the many examples of what the tree is capable of Though the Zakum tree exsists in another realm, it has recently begun to physically manifest itself into the maple world. Ages ago when the Black Magician raged his fury, he destroyed the ancient civilization in el nath unaware of the Zakum tree beneath where today stands the Dead Mines. The Black Wings have become aware of it's power and are planning to harnest it so that when the Black Magician returns, nothing will stand in his way.

- Lv90+ (No Max Level)
- NPC is located in El Nath
- The PQ is basically a Boss Rush except with new bosses rather than the ones that already exsist.
- Tiles and Background are the same as Cave of Trials. Save for Stage 3 and the last two.

*Cutscene*

Your party and the NPC sets off to the Dead Mines to deal with the Zakum tree but along the way the NPC sees something weird on the ground. You all go to inspect but suddenly the floor breaks and you all fall down the chasm.

*Back to the PQ.....*
Now in the PQ, walk to the right and you'll spot a King Slime. All you have to do is kill it. Once the King Slime dies instead of doing the normal death animation, it will leap into the lava and come out as Blazing King Slime!Oh and all the Platforms disapper except the one Blazing King Slime is on.

Blazing King Slime
Hp: 800,000

Blazing King Slime still has King Slime's earthquake but now has a new attack. It will constantly turn itself into a puddle convering most of the platform. If you are on the puddle, your movement will be slowed(You can't use tele,fj,ect. neither) and you'll take constant damage. Beat it and move on.

Mini Jump quest until you reach the center of the map. Here you'll see a Rombot. Once again easy kill. Once you kill it, the Bloctopus will jump off and install a chip into it's mouth transforming it into Blokraken.

Blokraken
Hp: 900,000

Due to it's size, it's a stationary monster. It will slightly jump to cause rocks to fall all over the area for 20 secs. It can also grip you with it's tentacles and throw you away from the party Super Knock Back Style. It will also shoot projectiles at you. Do note that durring the jump attack, if you take touch damage you will get stunned.

Get rid of the Gray Commandos which have 170k hp each. Afterwards a Chief Gray will appear along side a Mech.

Zeta Pyro
Hp: 1,500,000

The Chief Gray cannot be defeated but you have to keep your eye on him. He will call fourth towers throughout the entire fight. The towers do the following(Towers can only do one action at a time): Increase Zeta Pyro's Attack Power, Make Zeta Pyro Invincible, Damage Reflect or Provides an attacking unit which deals 1k an attack.

Zeta Pyro itself shoots Plasma shots from it's cannons. It will also hold a flamethrower attack for about 7 seconds (duck when this happens). But that's pretty much it.

Go to the middle of the map(again.....) and a portal will spawn. Guess who? It's Alishar!(With a Twist)

Dark Alishar
HP: 3,000,000

Somehow Alishar gets corrupted durring his spawn and now fights as Dark Alishar. He's pretty unremarkable as it's basically the same fight with more damage and HP(Yes we have Dark Chronos with more HP too). One thing that's changed though is that Alishar can now teleport and warp one of you to another part of the map. After he's down and runs away the NPC will comment about his corruption. And was THAT Francis?

Here we have mushrooms growing in a cave full of lava! There's a Mushmom here too. Kill it and she revives into Zombie Mushmom. Kill her and she'll revive again into Mushmom Soul.

Mushmom Soul
Hp: 4,100,000

Mushmom Soul is Aerial but has control over it. On occasion, she will float to the top of the map out of reach of everyone and fall down with the purpose of falling on her target. If she succeeds, she will inflict with nightmare for 1 min which deals periotic damage and is immune to dispel. Her dash will push anyone in the way super knock back style unless you duck. Her other attack involves lifting rocks and shotting them at you.

You can see the tree off to the distance so run towards it! What's this? Some weird machine is blocking the way!

Drill Puppet
Hp: 7,000,000

Where have we seen this before? Nevermind lets kick it's butt! It doesn't do much compared to everyone else. It will use it's drill arms to attack you and your party. The other attack involves it drilling itself into the ground. Afterwards dodge the falling rocks and lava fountains from the ground. If you thought it was over, it will surface again dealing damage to everyone within range(note there is a warning about the surfacing.

Kill it and then Francis will appear (Come on I thought we killed this guy already...). He explains how he's been "given a second chance" and what the Black Wings intend on doing with the Zakum Tree. Ending with "I will not fail this time" the fight begins.

Francis Redux
Hp: 7,000,000

No Puppet this time. He'll hit you with a shadow bolt and dark lightning. He still has Seduce from the last encounter. He can warp one of your party members to a random location of the map like Dark Alishar too. Half way through the fight he will stop attacking and talk to you. Once he's done, he'll use multiply. Francis makes 6 copies of himself and seal off any abilities that hit multiple targets(undispelable). Attacks still go on and the copies move just like Francis. Find the real one and you can use your ablilites again. He'll continue to multiply throughout his last 50%. Kill him and he's done for good but the tree is still srs buissness!

Behold the Zakum Tree......'s roots! It has an eye in the center of the mass of roots. It will talk to you saying how nothing will stop it now from spreading corruption across the maple world, it's almost here! Lucky for us it's barely at 50% power but still insists that it's unbeatable, we'll just have to change that.

Zakum's Core
HP: 12,000,000

Zakum has a bunch of roots around it's core which do most of the attacking. Aim for the core, that's it's weakspot! It's roots will grip you and drain 50% of your hp to add as it's own. The roots can also just slap you. It can cast Crazy Skull, Darkness, Seduce and Seal. It will summon Dhari which have the same ability as Soul Mushmom, they will fall on you to inflict nightmare. It's two other attacks are Dark Hole and Boil. Dark hole spawns a rift in the middle of the map, avoid it by going to the sides, it's a fatal attack. Boil works like Blazing King Slime's Puddle except the puddles are much smaller.

*Cutscene*

The Zakum Tree(before disappearing to it's realm thus finishing the PQ), talks about how it's influence still remains and that it's not gone just yet. Now you see it's seed on the Alter which corrupts an ancient statue and transforms into the Zakum we've all come to know.
