The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Naixin - 2008-07-26 I guess i made this for the people who has questions about 4th job I/L builds and for people to post their builds. I'm hoping for people to get a better idea of I/L 4th job builds through this thread. My build atm is. 120 - 1 Blizzard, 1 CL, 1 ID 121-128 - 24 CL (25) 129-131 - 9 MW (9) 132-134 - 9 Blizzard (10) 135 - 3 CL 136 - 2 CL (30) 1 ID 137 - 3 ID (5) 138-147 - 30 Ifrit (30) then idk what xD I might raise Big Bang. The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - butterfλi - 2008-07-26 the best archmage build would be one that best fits the player. some people like bossing, they get cl to a decent level and add some ifrit. other like training, they add a few points to blizz (not likely pass 10) then throw points around (CL, id, ifrit). most people know for sure what their build is gonna be once they're 130. by then, they got a feel for blizz training and if training fast is what they want, their build is set. i did maple warrior from level 120-122 for more int thus more mp per level up. then balanced around ice demon, cl and ifrit to level around 130. at 138, i have maxed cl, a level 7 id (hits 3 targets) and some ifrit. blizz is still level 1 which isnt the best level for fastest training but i have other things to add points to. also, looking for round of even numbers of cap skills isnt a very smart choice. like capping blizz at 10. if you can 2 hit kill newts with a level 8 blizz, its better to cap at 8 because unless a level 10 can 1hit kill, its just wasted mp. this isnt applicable to everyone because everyone has different equips but when adding points to blizz, you have to see if it change anything in your training like number of hits it takes to kill. I would actually recommend raising it to 11 if you can, as it doubles it's freeze time. And yes, it is a noticeable difference. The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Alice - 2008-07-26 I was going to do 120 -1 Blizz, 2 CL. 121-128 19 Maple Warrior. Then work on cl. The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - JoshKun - 2008-07-26 if im not mistaken, there is something odd about the whole lvling from 119 to 120 / aquiring 4th job scenario. I thought at lvl 120 you only had 1 sp to add into 4th job skills. Maybe I just dont remember properly. Also, I suggest instead of maxing ifrit save points for blizz 30 / mw 19. At lvl 148 I have 17 sp saved for these skills seeing that I will be aquiring them soon. (saving sp is just my opinion, but i also have lvl 20 blizz because i train at skeles with bishops and I 2-hko skeles) just my 2 cents (im funded o.O and high luk T_T) ~Josh The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Dan - 2008-07-27 Naixin Wrote:I guess i made this for the people who has questions about 4th job I/L builds and for people to post their builds. That's a fine build naixin but i wouldnt raise big bang, well here's mine o.o 120-1 blizzard, 1 cl, 1 id (just to check out the skills) 121-123 9 mw 124-126 9 blizzard(10) 127-136 29 cl (max), 1 id (2) 137-147 3 id (5), max ifrit 148-151 10 blizzard (20) 2 id (7) 152-159 23 id (max) 1 mw (10) 160-168 25 mana reflection, 1 big bang, 1 infinity 169-172 10 blizzard (max) 2 mw (12) 173-176 8 mw (max) 5 mana reflection (max) 177-186 29 big bang (max) 1 infinity (2) 187-196 28 infinity (max) 196-200 just some 3rd job crap like partial resistance Edit: if you have problems getting blizzard 30 and mw20 [no room in horntail squads, no connections, not funded, blizz constantly failing/never dropping (my problem lol)] then i suggest you save your sp rather than adding mana reflection or big bang like i did. I was just getting bored of lvling and having nothing to add, don't let it get to you

The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Kabanaw - 2008-07-27 This is my planned build: 120: 1 mw, 1 blizz, 1 cl 121-122: 3 mw 123: 2 mw (9) 1 id 124: 3 id 125-127: 1 id (7) 2 ifrit (6) 128: 3 ifrit 129: 1 ifrit (10) 2 CL (3) 130-138: 3 CL (max) After this, I think i'll get blizzard higher and then i'll work on ifrit. I'm getting ifrit to 10 because at that point it lasts for a minute so i don't need to constantly re-summon. The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Darklai - 2008-07-27 Well I had my build sorta planned out, but um, everyone's adding points to MW. I always thought we could easily get that through parties and put our points to a better use. Besides, delaying everything for three levels is worth it. The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - LazyBui - 2008-07-27 When I go back to my IL, I'm going to do an odd build. It's going to be based around Ice Demon rather than Ifrit or Chain Lightning or Blizzard. Level 25: MP - 34 (68) / Attack power 90 (122) / 15 seconds / 55% Mastery / 6 enemies / 3 second freeze / 300% Probably get it up to here first. That way, I can hit 3+ enemies (not hard at Peak, etc.) and be doing 1/45 HP damage per second on as many as I hit. I figure if I go around the map doing that, I can finish off monsters pretty quickly with what little Chain Lightning I have. I'm not interested in spending 50 million mesos per level on potions and that damn Jr. Newtie on the ultimate spamming platform has a tendency to kill me - although I could probably get used to that. I'm also not interested in fat summons that are fat and not icey (why the pineapple else would I PICK IL, seriously). Bossing isn't a big deal for me, I can just use my Night Lord. I never expected to be able to boss on my IL after it was plainly obvious that the two wizard tracks suck for bossing. Anyway, that's probably what I'll do. Ice Demon -> Maple Warrior -> Chain Lightning -> Ifrit -> Infinity -> Blizzard. I saw Ikes thread on SW and big bang looked pretty cool. Mana reflection doesn't look too hot. ID is pointless cause we boss with CL/Ifrit and train with blizz. I'm stuck between infinity or Big Bang after ifrit. Maybe lvl 20 Blizz if im lucky or 30 blizz if im REALLY lucky. 20 MW doesnt hurt either =P The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Gstatue - 2008-07-28 Hm. I did a cookie cutter build based around CL, ifrit and bliz. Random points here and there, now at 144. 28 CL (60% mastery), 9 ifrit/10 ID, 18 bliz (I 2hko newts with 18 bliz) and 9 Mw. I don't really remember my build. I say conserve points if you REALLY don't want ID. Just a side-note, but MW 20 isn't being sold from HT yet, while bliz 30 is, so conserve mesos for bliz 30. The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Dan - 2008-07-28 i failed mw 20 at last night's ht run
The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Sailor Psychic - 2008-07-29 I'm not sure what my build will be. Right now, at level 120, I have 1 Blizzard, 1 Chain Lightning, and 1 Ice Demon. I'd like to be able to boss, but I guess training is more important because I'll level enough to get CL. However, I don't know where to train. Newties are practically always full (on Scania), and I tried Sky Nest II for a few hours and actually was losing money (maybe I'm doing it wrong), so I don't know where to train with Blizzard. I recently started soloing at Himes with Ice Strike (I was at Gobies until then), and it's decent EXP. I think ID and Ifrit is best for there. Anyone have advice? And for those posting their builds, where are you training? The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - butterfλi - 2008-07-30 Sailor Psychic Wrote:I'm not sure what my build will be. MOST of the time, i 1hit kill the blue ones. ice strike finishes the ones that dont die. The I/L Arch Mage Build Thread. - Goals - 2008-08-14 My build is: 1 Blizzard Max Chain Lightning 9 Maple Warrior Max Blizzard 5 Ice Demon Max Ifrit I don't know what to do after that. XD Currently raising enough to get godly gear and blizzard 30 again (I was hacked)
