Why do the clouds shield the stars from us at night?
Man would think that they have something to hide,
so that he may have an excuse to search for more.

But in truth when the gales have passed,
and the after-hazes and fogs linger still and silent in the sky,
they say that we've had quite enough.

Enough starlight,
enough of the moon,
we're left with nothing but the insipidness of twilight.

We may think that somehow,
someone is holding out on us;
we long for the light, we long for the essence of what has made us.

Man may think that he is opposed;
and in the face of that opposition he must curse,
and relentlessly take action.

But what is not realized is that we are not opposed by anyone--
--but ourselves;
for we have become what we have longed to control.

So now, as the warm gust whistles past,
and our faces are hidden in darkness, shrouded with malice,
and with our voices prominent in the silence, we must receive the fruits and spoils of our troubles...

...for that is precisely what we've asked for.

Sounds tragic. I like it.

I like this a lot. Poast Feels melancholy.

The only thing that threw me off was the word "insipidness," but I think that's more because it's not a word that I am used to seeing. Great job though.

This reminded me of a speech the leader of some cult would tell his members before taking any sort of action. Awesome work.
