Question about name tagged items - sumtingverywong - 2008-07-22

i recently bought a name tagged item off someone. is it possible for me to buy a name tag from cash shop and retag my name on it? will it replace his name with mine?

Question about name tagged items - rippleinthewater - 2008-07-22

No, and besides, that would defeat the whole purpose of a name tag.

Question about name tagged items - kleptophobia - 2008-07-22

No it will not replace the name, but why would you want to name tag over it anyways? That is very mean to the person who spent some NX name tagging it, which they probably did for some reason(pride).

Meh, I kind of understand the TS.
If I spent over 500M to buy something, I don't want the makers name on it.

If he/she scrolled the item and spent NX on it, doesn't he/she deserve to have people see his/her name when ever the item appears?

But the thread starter's question is answered so I should stop posting...

Following from previous comments...
Since people don't want nametagged items, nametagged items are worth like 75% of a similar non-nametagged item's price.

Nobody wanted to buy my 12 attack white work gloves that I scrolled a year or two ago, so I kept it through ~500% deflation. oshet~

Question about name tagged items - Harrisonized - 2008-07-23

What's wrong with tagging an item?
It doesn't decrease the items stats or anything. Why should it decrease it's price?
Also, tagging is useful, in case you lose an item, you can track it back.
Tagging makes the item truly 'one-of-a-kind'. In other words, no one can copy the tag, thus making it unique and easy to distinguish.

I just said the reason. o_O

Nobody wants somebody else's name on their equipment.
I know I wouldn't.

Though of course, my two nametagged +0 and 0 slot BWGs are attracting many, many offers.

Harrisonized has a point about them being truly unique. If you name tagged all your items, if you got hacked you could easily trace back who had your 'quips, at the expense of resale value.

Question about name tagged items - Saver - 2008-07-23

If an item has a tag on it, oh well, I get to buy it at its value or even lower.
It doesn't lower the stats it gives, so for me it's not a bother.
If that person made it, they have the right to engrave their name of it and I or anyone else can't say they scrolled it.

For average to above average gear, tagging isn't really needed (unless you want to lend it to others and its your own pride and joy)

I wouldn't tag anything unless I know the item is a 1 in a 10,000+ chance of having.
I'm still trying to work on my Maple Wisdom Staff project and won't tag it until I land 6 10%s.
I've seen a few +4 10%d Wisdom staffs, so I don't see a need to tag it yet.
If I do land those 6 10%s, I don't want others to #1) Take the credit of it or #2) Call it a hacked / duped / w/e item.

Tags can be useful if used wisely (zomg MileStar's [sp] Wooden Wand 50m!!!)

Edit1: (Jeez, How many "I"'s did I use....crap)

Question about name tagged items - XtremeBeast - 2008-07-23

^^ It was StarMile's wooden wand. And i remember Tiger was selling a spear for a pretty hefty price and a potential buyer told him to tag it and he'd pay more.

The only time i tagged an item was on my godly sword (at the time). It was almost a year ago and i was going to quit. So my plan was to tag it, give it to a friend, then quit the game.

Question about name tagged items - Hero - 2008-07-23

Nametags are usually used for fun really. I nametagged a Sabretooth (Lv40 2H Axe) on my mule, called Sabretooth. >_> No reason other than me finding it funny. xd Had plenty of funny responses on it, too.

Course sometimes you get stuff like xd3xl3ss1nz's 13atk SCG; yeah, great item really. Will pay more etc. Frown

Question about name tagged items - Kabanaw - 2008-07-24

I've only really thought of tagging my friend's 10 dex dark anakamoon in memory to him, but that's it.
