Help me in my quest. - Rick - 2009-08-20 Hello SouthPerry, I need your help. I live to watch horror movies, but I have run out of ones to watch, and have come to you for recommendations. When it comes to horror movies, I don't really enjoy stuff like Saw and Hostel, where it's more "how much blood can I put in this thing". Also I don't enjoy the messed up stuff that happens in those movies, though if there is a bit of shock factor I won't mind, but I will mind if the movie revolves around it. When it comes to horror, I like the creepy and psychological kind of horror. I want something that is going to make me afraid to turn the lights off at night. Stuff that will make me squirm in my seat (a few spider movies have done that). For example stuff like this: I'm never trusting the freaking corners in my house again. I also would like to start doing some more reading. When it comes to a book, I like some real thought provokers and mysteries. The DaVinci Code is one of my all time favourites. I also like fantasy novels like Harry Potter of course, also the Artemis Fowl series. I was also wondering about some horror novels. I've seen parts of Stephen King's IT in movie form, but wasn't very in to it. I've heard the novel is much scarier and much more involved, can anyone confirm this? You guys have any recommendations? Especially for movies. Help me in my quest. - GMSInfighter - 2009-08-20 I'm sure you've seen it but the scariest psychological one I've seen would have to be Clockwork Orange. Help me in my quest. - Rick - 2009-08-20 No, actually, I haven't. I'll keep that in mind thanks. And holy crap at the video. Creepy as hell. I'm just like you. I don't like the blood/gore of Saw I like the psychological thrillers. Help me in my quest. - Providence - 2009-08-20 Noroi, The Devil's Backbone, Begotten, Ouija (2007), Alone (2007), Jacob's Ladder, Ring (2002), One Missed Call (2004). . . I second Jacob's Ladder. That movie is made purely out of mindfu'ck. ![]() ... Also while Clockwork Orange has disturbing implications and socio-political themes. I didn't find the movie actually scary. That is almost like saying Children of Men is scary... Help me in my quest. - VladTheLvr - 2009-08-20 I can confirm that the book IT is scarier than the movie. There is plenty of discussion of previous accounts of IT before the children attempt to kill it and there is a romantic side story. Oh and there are gays.
