2 accounts running on vista - EmuAlert - 2009-08-08 I know that, at least on XP, you can make two accounts (on your computer) and run two separate windows on each account. Can you do the same thing on Vista? More importantly, will creating another account create new data that can't be removed, even if the account is deleted? Thanks. 2 accounts running on vista - Erich - 2009-08-08 All I know is yes you can. 2 accounts running on vista - Hazzy - 2009-08-08 What do you mean by "new data"? o.o 2 accounts running on vista - Greg22 - 2009-08-08 I would also like to know how to do this. If anybody can give a good answer/how-to, that'd be great. 2 accounts running on vista - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-08-08 You can open more than one Windows account on Vista, but it has been patched so that you cannot open 2 instances of maple on the same machine, meaning that you would need a virtual machine to open a second Maplestory instance. 2 accounts running on vista - EmuAlert - 2009-08-08 Hazzy Wrote:What do you mean by "new data"? o.oMaking a new account would make new data on your computer that you (might) have to load when you start up, and (might) stick around even after you delete the account. That's sort of weird, how it's only patched for Vista. I guess I'll look into these virtual machines. 2 accounts running on vista - Panacea - 2009-08-09 My mom's computer has Vista and I can still run multiple Maples... weird. 2 accounts running on vista - Erich - 2009-08-09 I can still run two maples too. It was the virtual machine way that was patched. 2 accounts running on vista - madanthony - 2009-08-09 I thought I heard something about 32 vs. 64-bit Vista. I can do the 2 users, 2 Maples, 1 machine just fine with 64 bit at least. 2 accounts running on vista - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-08-09 Hmmmm a-@ my windows is 32 bit, normally when trying to run it on a second admin or normal account, it gives me an error, but it used to give a shadow user account error with the admin user. Maybe ill see if my install disc has a 64 bit mode on it that i can use with mine. 2 accounts running on vista - Razru - 2009-08-09 I used to be able to run two user accounts on 32 bit vista until i started getting a 516 error or something. 64 bit vista doesn't do that to me but there aren't any 64 bit drivers for my network card so I'm stuck with 32 bit. |
